Otherwise an ENT is equipped with suction devices and medicines but may do it only as part of troubleshooting a bigger problem; they won't have time just for that.

Well, this would be expensive, but if you ever go to Vietnam, most massage / facial spas can do it. I recently visited there and went to such a spa. Nothing like getting your ears cleaned by a pretty Vietnamese girl wearing a very low cut dress and sitting right in front of your face while cleaning! So I don't claim any kind of expertise on the subject. I have owned a couple and still have one. I didn't particularly like one that I had that used a squeeze bulb to create suction, I thought it was petty worthless. I liked the ones with more like a handle that works the pump mechanism, I think the auction is better. The main warning from some of the websites, don't keep it on too long, can damage the blood vessels. No particular brand to recommend.
