There was an incident where a regular member begged, pleaded and whined about not getting various UTR's contact info. This was someone fairly new to the community who hadn't yet established credibility. He was questionable at best, so the senior members who brought the UTRs into the game chose not to share with him. Unfortunately someone else who was only given the info to use, not to share, decided he could share it anyways. And thus the questionable monger got it.

Why is that a problem? I posted the UTR 101 in the Newbie Guide to answer that question and describe the etiquette. In order to protect the UTR, digits / passwords shouldn't be handed out to just anyone. It's a subjective decision to know who to give digits to, but there are some objective things a responsible person helping the UTR should look for before passing out digits. At a minimum the requesting monger should be a senior member that has demonstrated maturity, respect for women, and would not compromise the UTR in anyway. In the aforementioned incident, the monger begging for the contact info did not demonstrate any of those things. The senior members decision to not pass along info on his first and repeated requests ended up being justified. The monger proved without a shadow of a doubt he was an undeserving troll. A troll who loves acting like a dope. Let's make up a name for him, like TrollLover420. It's fitting. If you were to read TrollLover420's posts it reeks of immaturity, lack of respect for anyone, and absolutely no regard for the UTR's privacy. Literally, go read his words. It's impossible to conclude otherwise.

TrollLover420 should NOT have received the UTRs digits. It's not his fault. He's a troll. He's probably a banned member that knew exactly how USASG works. He made post after post just to achieve unmoderated senior member status quickly (Slick, right? The fault, unknowingly or not, lies with the other member (s) that passed along digits / passwords second hand without regard to the vetting process and safety of the UTR. That's the real lesson here.

You may roll you eyes and not like the methods how some of us choose to help UTRs, however it should be clear it's done to protect the women while still benefiting the team. Remember, this "team" has no membership fees, no identification, and no accountability. All it takes is an email to become a USASG member. If we don't self police and be mindful of who's a good team player then any troll, any banned member, or any anonymous creep looking to do women harm can come on here and get access to the UTRs we're trying to keep safe. Sadly, TrollLover420 illustrates this point perfectly, and that's why we need to be more diligent in how we share UTRs.

I take a little caution with this post, not because I care all that much who I offend, but it may come across as an unpopular opinion.

Passwords are the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard of.

In my entire hobbying experience I've never needed a password to see a provider. And I've seen a number of the women that fall under the supposed "password" requirement without your beloved password. And almost every single one of those providers was a bust.

Everyone has their preferences, so if you like the whole password thing, whatever. But to cast this idea that passwords somehow protect the woman in question is a fucking joke. First, they want money, not a password. Second, I'm sure the majority of people on this board have never met a single monger in real life or can vouch for them beyond posts they make. Third, I would contest that whomever is creating the password isn't doing it for the woman in question, it's 100% for the password keeper's own personal benefit.

In fact, I'll go as far to say that the password thing is hurting this hobby more than it helps.

Look for yourselves. Just how many of these "password protected UTR" providers actually have a decent track record, are drug free, don't have significant comm issues and are somewhat reliable. Maybe that's your thing, you want to be first or next or feel special because you're part of a club by which a password gets you VIP access. I don't buy a plain cheeseburger from McDonalds thinking it's a Ribeye so I guess you should know what you're getting if you participate.

There are some great UTRs that have come and gone and needed no password or affiliation with any specific monger needed.

So why do I think it's wrecking the hobby? Because this isn't being done out of the kindness of people's hearts. At best it's getting a finders fee or free service. At worst it's the same thing as a damn handler. You don't like pimps you say? Then stop with the passwords.

Just an opinion, at the end of the day I've learned a few things in this hobby. First, many guys are assholes. As much as it sucks for the women who have to deal with them constantly, you're making it a whole lot easier for decent individuals to get a much better experience. Second, women who use passwords will never see a dime from me again. Even though I didn't use a password the service and experience wasn't worth any price. Third, the password is not to benefit you, it's to benefit someone else. And it's not the lady in question either.

Regardless, please stay safe out there. Many guys are assholes but you don't have to be. Instead of treating these situations like you're going to hit it til they quit it, you might see some decent providers stick around longer.
