Don't think she is a hooker or anything. I met her last Tuesday a few days before she was on the news and did try to do the same thing with me though I do think she was alone. I posted about her over in the Craigslist section. She looked fine as hell but is said to have a heroin addiction.
I interacted with her as well via phone and email last Fall. At the time she was "attending a conference for work downtown & wanted me to come by and have some fun because she was bored. " Of course she didn't have a room (which I was supposed to front). Now the old "front me the money to get a room" is a non-starter for me in 2016 (I might have fallen for it in 1996 <smile ), but even then the story just didn't hang together. I mean who travels to an out of town conference and doesn't prearrange a room? I mean if she's try to work (P4 P) just say so.
So I passed on her but the pictures she sent were hot and the number she used tied back to real world info (which is the same as reported in the news stories) that verified the hot pics.
Not sure what games she was really playing but glad I stayed away.

The damage on the car shows she got hit really bad when it happened. I don't think she is doing heroin anymore but is definitely trying to get money for drugs. She has apologized to me and is texting me for help to bail her out when she turns herself in. LOL.

God I wonder what really happened with that first guy she met in Brookhaven. Something is not being told because they would not get the marshals unless it is something big.

A2[/blue]
Nothing in the article says anything about them HIRING girls from the site, it clearly says they left reviews but I digress. What is really important are these pieces.
"promoting prostitution after investigators said they met with victims of sex trafficking at high-end Bellevue apartments. ".
"The tech directors are two of six local men charged late last month in King County Superior Court with promoting prostitution in the second degree – a felony charge. *".
"Police said the women were forced into prostitution to pay off debts to organized crime bosses in Asia. The women will NOT be charged with any crime. But now their alleged johns are. *".
A dangerous precedent has been set because it sounds like these men were charged because of "reviews" which the court called promoting prostitution in the 2nd degree. I wish the article was more detailed but there is no reason to call someone an idiot because this is good info and opens up a real debate. The most disturbing part of the article is where they say that none of the girls was prosecuted but all of the men were.

Yes, he / they HIRED ladies from The Review Board. It's like hiring from Heidi Fleiss, is it not? Unsure what the exact charges would be but could be soliciting, pandering in prostitution or likewise. The Review Board database probably had mongers' real info in addition to their handles, so the popo was able to make the connection (s) and bust them. As for simply posting reviews to any site? I doubt anyone could be busted. If that were the case, anyone who ever posted to the Penthouse Forum, USASG, etc, would have LEO busting down their doors.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
[blue]1st amendment says you're correct.

Anyone here remember the brouhaha on the doggie hobby site where some hobbyists were dragged into court by the Gwinnett county DA over their reviews of a provider busted in the city of Duluth. That incident had a chilling effect on that board and for all intents and purposes put it out of business.

Anatomy of a Police Investigation of an Internet Site
There are only two things that are certain in life, taxes and death. Of course, the cliche doesn't mention that you die only once while taxes happen every year!
In this article, we take a look at the specific investigation and resulting arrest warrants associated with the *********.net escort site in Florida. The specific purpose of this article is to educate you on the steps taken by authorities to penetrate [no pun intended] the site, not to discuss the legal issues associated with the site or the merits of the investigation. Further, this information is based on public information provided by the investigating agencies, not the individuals involved in the site. As a result, the merits and accuracy of the statements of the authorities may be taken with a grain of salt. Regardless, the information supplied is an example of methods used by authorities to crack a site.
The Site
*********.net allegedly provides a paid forum for escorts and individuals looking for escorts. Florida authorities assert that the site has been promoting prostitution since approximately September of 1999. The "promotion" involved providing subscribers with information, methods of access, ratings, and descriptions of the quality and characteristics of prostitutes as well as providing information on law enforcement operations and how to avoid said operations.
Following a two-year investigation called "Operation Flea Collar," arrest warrants were issued in mid-June for the arrest of eleven people with more arrests expected. Various charges being made include racketeering, conspiracy to racketeer, committing prostitution, deriving support for prostitution, aiding and abetting prostitution, procuring prostitutes, maintaining an establishment for prostitution and tampering with evidence. Of the charges asserted, the racketeering elements are the most serious.
The Investigation
*********.net first came to the attention of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in the summer of 2000 when the Office received a complaint from an anonymous individual. Investigators from the Sheriff's Office and the Statewide Prosecutor appear to have first investigated and prosecuted individuals involved with a site, PrivatePets.com, which advertised on *********.net. Following that prosecution, the authorities sought the best means for infiltrating *********.net and the underlying organization. The initial efforts were fruitless, so the authorities undertook a few unique approaches.
In early 2002, the Vice Section of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in Florida began monitoring various meetings between the escorts and alleged site owners. Authorities took down license plate numbers for vehicles, noted the identity of individuals at the meetings and may have tried to actually attend a few of the meetings although the information in public documents is not clear on this subject. While providing the authorities with information on individuals involved in the site, said information did not create a basis upon which to seek warrants.
In February of 2002, authorities took the unique step of establishing their own escort service web page that offered a profile, but no photographs of "Peggy in Tampa." "Peggy" was then added to the escort listings on *********.net. In that there were no photographs, the Vice "newbie" listing was ridiculed and members allegedly asserted that the listing must be a law enforcement sting. In an effort to overcome this problem, the authorities added pictures of a detective "M. Grow" to the site, but the listing still received no response.
After "Peggy" flopped, the authorities set up another web page promoting "Millennium Babe", a confidential informant. This time, the authorities included photographs, escort information and relevant fees. Millennium Babe received a number of inquires according to authorities, but "the availability of the patrons" could not be reconciled with "Millennium Babe."
In March of 2002, the "Vice Webmasters" hit pay dirt with their third effort. "Lia Nice", a confidential informant, appeared on a web page in street clothes and a bathing suit with information on how to contact her and the fees involved. "Lia Nice" was then advertised on *********.net. The authorities allege that "within a few hours," they were receiving "thousands of hits" and hundreds of subsequent offers for "dates" from members on the *********.net site. The Vice Office agreed to a few dates and arrested six individuals for soliciting prostitution within two weeks of the initial posting of Lia Nice on the site. Interestingly, a number of these individuals agreed to cooperate with authorities and posted positive reviews of "Lia Nice" on the site. This, of course, resulted in more interest from subscribers. The authorities subsequently created escort profiles for "Tallahassee Jack" and "Marcus Arelius". Authorities assert that these names were eventually banned from the site as escorts, but two were subsequently allowed to join as members.
At about that time, the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office learned that the Orlando Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation was also investigating *********.net. Working together, the two organizations collected further information that subsequently led to the issuing of warrants to arrest the alleged owners of the site, prostitutes, managers of prostitutes and individuals using the services of the prostitutes on the site. In June of 2002, the warrants were exercised and a number of arrests were made including the two alleged owners of the site.
Summary
The above compilation of information is an educational example of how authorities investigated an adult oriented site. Of particular interest is the fact that the authorities took two years to conduct the investigation and did so at a significant expense. Further, Webmasters must realize that it is not illegal for police to become a member of your site for the purpose of investigating the site. Statements on various warning pages and terms and conditions that include "you are not a police authority" language are not an effective means for keeping authorities out of your site.
As has been previously reported by multiple sources, the Justice Department has been "ramping up" its effort to investigate the adult online industry. In light of the above situation, the anticipated investigations could take some time. Regardless, investigations are undoubtedly underway and it is important that Webmasters make sure they are in compliance with relevant regulations. Is the sky falling? If you fail to acknowledge the changing landscape of the online adult industry, it may be.
The above discussion is intended to be a general commentary on the above scenario. Each situation is different and this article is not intended as legal advice for your specific situation.
You know the 'Posting Guidelines' that they put at the top and bottom of the window when you're typing out a post? They're there for a reason. If you're careful-- following the Guidelines is a good way to start-- the risk of being identified from posts on this site are extremely minimal. Don't ever post anything particularly identifiable about yourself. Hell, even the make of your car could identify you, though I doubt Uncle would go that far. Don't ever tell an escort your real name (or at least your whole name). Use a burner phone whenever possible. Always use cash (girls who ask for Paypal, gift cards or whatever. Avoid! Don't monger in your own neighborhood (both literally and figuratively-- the last thing you need is for someone who knows you to see you somewhere you shouldn't be and start asking nosy questions). Always be discreet about handing over the payment. Don't get explicit in text. Etc.
Basically, what it comes down to, this is an illegal hobby. There is nothing illegal about having sex with people; it's paying them for it that's against the law. As long as you can avoid people finding that out, you're fine.
Where the other site fucked up is from the sound of it they had identifying information, which let the Popo bust their clients. The clients fucked up by going through the site a little too much. Backpage, etc. Are much safer because the escorts post their numbers; you contact them *outside* of Backpage, so the site is never directly involved. It's basically the equivalent of someone posting a personals ad in the newspaper. Absolutely nothing illegal about that. Note that nobody ever says "you can fuck me for so much a hour", it's just "this much for spending time with me" which is also perfectly legal.
Anything said on the Internet is freedom of speech and I do think the media lies all the time about people getting arrested for something they said on the Internet. Meeting somebody from the Internet though and having something happen with them like I did when I met that girl from Craigalist in March who was robbing people can have what is said over the Internet by somebody come into play. Only if you meet somebody from the Internet though.

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Nowhere in that will you find any thing stating that you are free from repercussions and that you can use it anywhere that you wish, which means that your employer can limit it, a website can limit it, and it could be used as evidence against you.

As I have been talking about lately on here, I recently just had my unique incident where I had to talk to the police about that girl I met off Craigslist who was robbing people she met with her boyfriend. Nobody goes to jail for just writing anything on the web especially if it is just reviews of providers like how this conversation just started. You might as well just arrest everybody on Yelp if that is true.
Makes you think. This isn't necessarily victimless after all.
Okay now I get what you're saying. You have a good point actually IMO. We wouldn't care if this girl had got arrested for drugs or something else that she would've only served a day or so in jail for but her beating a baby to death pisses us all off. I agree with you now.
Makes you think. This isn't necessarily victimless after all.
Well, by the time a woman is selling pussy (or her boyfriend or husband is selling pussy for her), she's already well off the fringe; to use the terminology of statistics, she inhabits a "long tail" of the normal distribution, where rare things happen, like murder, suicide, and so on. It's the opposite side of the other "long tail", where best-selling authors, billionaires, and brilliant physicists (ahem) live.
I've been mongering for the better part of a quarter century now (and I know I'm a young'un by the metric of some other poster here), and at this point I've fucked women who went on to become murderers, who were murdered, who OD'ed, who are currently in prison, and so on. It's worth mentioning that in my "real life" I don't know ANYONE who fits those descriptions, but among the provider set, things like this are commonplace.
This particular case is singularly egregious (it's hard to imagine someone more Hellbound than a woman who beats her infant to death), but if it's going to happen, it's going to be in that "long tail" statistical neighborhood, "the street", or whatever you want to call it.
But it's not mongering that creates such an environment; it just leverages preexisting conditions; I can't see any justification for drawing a moral line between mongering and infanticide.
That said, I'm happy I never saw her myself!
O.
I live in a country where a woman's, or guys for that matter, right to sell sex is constitutionally protected. We don't have nearly the issues around hookers that exist in the states. Don't get me wrong, hookers here can do some dumb stuff and a lot of them won't win mother of the year but I know a lot of them that do it in order to provide their kids with better lives than they had.
You guys are in Atlanta, if the chicks working at hooters in Atlanta could fly off to say Miami for the weekend and make as much in a weekend in Miami selling pussy that they can make a month working at hooters then they won't be working at Hooters anymore. The same with the Hooters chicks in Miami who go to say New York (leaving their home city so they have less chance of their dads or brothers coming to the hotel room. When the southern belle college girls are selling pussy on the weekends nobody will be getting it from the junkies.
Just like dope it's the criminalization of the act that brings the criminals. Chicks don't become junkies because they are hookers, junkies become hookers because they can be junkies and still be hookers.

Totally agree.
