I agree HJ's don't quite get it. One reason I stopped going to strip club's for alot of years is that (the vip) which was primary only lap dances only made things worse. I was already in the mood before I would go to the club.
Also it would not be bad if the dancer told you that up front what her plans were but too many of them will give you the old line of good time..mmmm I think they mean good time for them with all that cash they are getting.
My next visit will be to try to get them to be more defined on what a good time means to them. Maybe I will leave happier than I have been recently.

I have been in town on business for the last few days.
One of my favorite clubs is here in Detroit, The Booby Trap.
I have reviewed it before, but not in a while.
This club is very laid back, and smaller compared to some of the other larger and better known in the Motor City.
The women vary, but on average I would say they are solid 7's.
The normal setup is one girl on stage while the others walk the floor, provide private dances in the back, or sit with a customer.
They have recently remodeled and upgraded some of the equipment.
I was in on 5/21/08. I arrived at about 8pm and left at midnight.
There is a parking attendant that will greet you and take your car - kinda funny seeing how the parking lot is about the size of a postage stamp and you could park your own car. Anyway, on your way out, you will have to pay the attendant a 5 buck penalty to get your car back.
Not much has changed since my last visit in over 12 months. The girls all provide great grindage, allow touching, and are very comfortable sitting on your lap and in your arms - and all that happens just sitting at the bar. Things step up a notch during the private dances (20 bucks per song and the songs tend to be longer than other clubs).
You can always buy a girl a drink and she will sit with you. In my experiences the girls have never really pushed the drinks. But in this last visit they had a rather pushy waitress. Myself and my dancer both turned down offers of drinks from her and she just wouldn't take 'NO', until I told her I had to drive. Avoid her if you can.
No extras are provided at the Trap, but if you are looking for a place to unwind, have a beer, watch a game or girl, and put a smile on your face, then stop by and enjoy.
I have always felt safe in the club, it is convenient to I-75, and again, the girls are personable.

Uusally on the day shift the bar is not crowded if you are in the vip room by yourself. She pulls it out and takes care of business. Also if it is just a vip area people use the corners for fun. At night it is more tricky becasue of bouncers but some clubs know what is happening and look the other way.

Sigma, you may want to try the Toy Chest at Ford Road just west of Southfield. Not a top dollar club, but no where near a dive. Milage way better than anything in Grand Rapids. Nice selection of gals and they handle groups well. Way better than henry viii and closer to MGM.

Henry the VIII South is good if you are looking to get your friend laid. There is absolutely no question that it can happen there. Seedy? Yes. Unsanitary? Yes. Will the creepy guy sitting next to you (and I mean, right next to you in the VIP) witness the entire event? Yes. But if you're cool with that. It's great. Not for everyone, but if you are looking for maximum mileage with minimal hassle, it's your place. One other caveat. No alcohol at H8S. Drink before you go.
In the downtown area, there's Bouzooki's (sp? ). It's located near/in Greektown, and more specifically, across the street from the Atheneum Hotel. You're going to get less mileage. Most likely not a total wipeout, but not the holy grail either. The girls are pretty good looking, and like most places, the later you go, the better the talent. Food and drink prices are in line with most SCs. It has a decent VIP area, and I think the dances are still $20.
If you want a bit more excitement, try Hardbodies on Michigan Ave. One of my personal favorites. This is heading west towards Dearborn, but it's fairly close to MGM. Hardbodies is probably right between HS8 and Bouzooki's in terms of cleanliness, stripper action, and cost. Alcohol is allowed there. It's a bit more rough than some of the downtown or (nice) 8mile clubs, but if you aren't looking for trouble, you should be cool. Girls range from crack-ho to "what the fuck are you doing in this dump? "
Last place I'll discuss is Flight Club. Nice place. Beautiful women. A bit pricier and not much chance of action. Others have mentioned that sometimes things go on there, but it seemed to be more of a thing for regulars or high rollers. I could be wrong and other input is certainly appreciated. I can recommend that it is a decent looking place with better than average quality girls and food.

It's a shithole, but probably the only place around where FS is damn-near guaranteed.
Outside of H8's I pretty much agree with what everyone else has said, but I also want to throw Centerfolds on John R and 7 1/2 mile in the mix. This is a club that doesn't seem to get much coverage on this board for some reason, but I gotta tell you, I personally think it's one of the most consistently funnest clubs around for me. Every time I go there I leave feeling like I had a great time. I think, for my tastes anyway, it strikes just right balance between overall atmosphere, mileage, music, dancer hotness, and classiness. There are clubs with hotter dancers, clubs that are classier, clubs with better mileage, etc. But Centerfolds has the right balance without being too heavily weighted in one area and not enough in the other. For example, H8's is off the charts in the mileage category but it's a shithole. On the other hand John John's is classy with generally 9's and 10's but there's no mileage to speak of (the goon bouncer will walk over to your table to tell you to get your hand off the dancers' knee).
Centerfolds is generally right down the middle in every category, with a few specifics to take note of:
- Mileage is above average and I can tell you from personal experience that FS in VIP is possible. But be aware that there is no privacy in VIP, it's simply over in the corner on the main floor with no walls. But bouncers tend to look the other way to whatever may be going on in VIP
- It's not a dump, but not high class either. Your buddy probably won't feel like a balla, but he won't feel like he needs a tetanus shot either. It's not the kind of place that white collar types will stop by after work, like say the Toy Chest.
- They have one of the funnest stages, IMO. On most Fri / Sat nights the girls do 3-song sets with 3 girls on stage at the same time, rotating 1 off / 1 on after each song. There is usually lots of contact between the girls on stage and it's quite common for 2 girls to lay on the stage 69'ing each other.
- The music is loud and tends to lean towards rock / metal. This is one of the reasons that I enjoy the place
- Waitstaff is pretty laid back and not pushy

The same guy that owns Bouzouki also owns Lolitas on Griswold right off Woodward near Comerica Park. Lolitas used to be the Grind, I have not been to Lolitas since the change. Bouzouki in Greektown is a better bet they also do a bachelor party show they will bring your boy on stage. If he is the shy type this might not work. The next area close is going out Mich ave but you have to go to Dearborn for the nice clubs. Also if you guys are staying at the MGM and have the money to spend try and get one or two dancers to come back to the hotel. They dancers can do a lot more in your hotel than in the club.
