What kind of success rate are people getting?
I was curious about this scene, but the websites seem terrible and full of fakes or scams. And the websites are incentivized to promote these profiles because it gets people to pay for a membership with questionable value.
My superficial take is that nearly all your time would be verifying profiles 90% of the time, and then even if you get any traction, you have to figure out if you would even get along. There has to be a better way to verify people and their intentions.
Although, that could be part of the allure of the scene. The hunt and then the hard earned payoff.

A lot depends on where you are shopping, what kind of girls you are going for, and how much you look like you've got money.
If you are looking for a one and done situation this is a bad place to shop. I'm generally looking for someone to keep on the rotation for at least a year (and sometimes I've kept seeing them for three or four years). That makes me super picky and it won't take much to make me block 'them and move on to another one.
You need to have a low tolerance for stupid shit because even the best of them on these sites eventually try stupid shit.
On the other hand, I'm kind of amazed and impressed at how many absolute freaks there are out there.
