This post struck a chord with me. I've also been wary of seeing girls who offer $80 specials and below for many of the same reasons. It's possible either they'll be seeing a high volume of guys or they might be junkies in need of a quick fix, both of which presents a higher risk of various misc infections & disease than normal.

Personally, I'd prefer that they charge $20. I figure ANY girl who hooks is an IV drug user, who probably has something. Some may not, but it's silly to make that assumption at ANY price point. The hotels that cater to business travelers (think gaslamp/downtown) will have the occasional female biz traveller, or best-case-scenario, local chick trolling for a male biz traveller. Chances are low to begin with (in the 10-15% range), and even when you find one it often takes two nights at the bar to close the deal.
