Better late than never.
Went down in late December with a friend. We drove over in his car, we both have Global so getting back is quick and easy.
Exchanged to Pesos on the American side right before driving over. No conversion fees like in Mexico (though you can find some places that don't charge a fee there). Then drove over and went to breakfast at Lorca restaurant español. Nice spot if you have never been.
After the meal we headed over to Hotel Ticuán to check-in and drop the car off. Right across the street there is this massage bar called Secrets. The girls here do not compete with HK or Chicago but the beers are $3 USD. We sit at the bar there and get a couple of cheap beers without having to buy any beers for the girls (those are $8. 00 if you want to).
From there, we walk down Revolucion to a couple of craft beer spots. We like Norte Brewing (great view) and Insurgente Tap Room (has an open area that looks out over the street for people watching). Both of these are just off of Revolucion and almost across from each other.
Once we have a nice buzz it's time to walk over to HK for an afternoon / early evening. No cover, got a booth on the main floor right near the stages. There were some incredible booties standing by the stages directly in front of us. I could have just sat and drank my beer while gazing at this all night. We get a bucket of beers and just relax. A few different girls came up but we passed on them.
Eventually one girl sits down on my lap and starts making out with me right away. I bought here a few fichas and she wanted me to take her WhatsApp info. My friend found a really young girl with the cutest face. He eventually went arriba with here. My girl kept me company while he was gone and when he returned we left. Once at the hotel, we settled in for the night, woke up the next day for the free breakfast and then drove back across the border.
This wasn't a hot and heavy f' them all trip. Just wanted to give a different perspective on how you can go over there and enjoy a day of good beer and company, get some great sights in and slowly build up the female contacts for return trips. Hope you boys have some fun times over there. Beats the hell out of the scene here in the US.

I don't go to TJ for just the girls. I like the vibe, I like the food, for the most part it's very reasonable.
There is plenty of attractive talent to sample down there well below $200. If you wanted to go on a binge, you could get a room at HK and bring up as many girls as you want without any room fee. If you get the VIP card you can get rooms during the week for $50. Then you find some girls for the $120 range and you can do that all night. The street girls are an option too, you just need to pick the right ones.
You can also hit some of the normal night clubs and have fun flirting with regular locals that are not on the clock. There is just so much to do over a couple of days. Seems a lot more fun to me then walking into some k-girl home and hoping you're not there when the raid goes down.

You should be able to find your flavor of girl working there and if you like more petite spinner type girls, there will be plenty of those too. Just across the street from HK you can try Tropical and Chicago Club and see if there is anything there you like. They are so close, it's worth taking a look to see what you might find. Though HK will probably be where you end up.
The street girls all around this area and in the alley behind HK are a mixed bag but there are definitely some lookers there. You just need to make sure you negotiate with them and are very clear on what you want. They start cheap ($40 ish) but that might be for limited access and one position, etc. Just tell them what you want and make sure you can agree on a price. As I noted earlier, I've been to HK club many times, but I guess (as you mentioned) it's a matter of what each monger finds attractive. Even on a Friday or Saturday night, I've had a difficult time finding girls at HK, or in the surrounding areas, that I find attractive. I might get lucky (pun intended) every once in a while by finding a cute little spinner with firm tits, a tight small ass, flat stomach, pretty and young-looking face, and long dark hair, but they seem to be few and far between. Finally getting around to writing this report. Spent Sunday evening to Wednesday morning at Cascadas; used the VIP card to get some juicy room discounts. And I have been down recently (3 trips from east coast since 1/1/24). In that timeframe, have approached probably 50+ ladies. No one was EVER over &150. Most are $120 and are ok with $100.

I am really happy to hear they did something about it. I was down there a couple weeks ago and, just killing time, I was talking with one of the security people. This was before I knew what happened to you, but he spontaneously told me that Cascadas has started being much more thorough when searching each girl's things when she goes upstairs, specifically checking for drugs. He told me that they would confiscate anything they found, but if the girl had a prescription, they would return those to her when she came back down. Maybe what happened to you has happened to others, too, or maybe your incident caused them to increase their security. I am sure they do not want something like this happening to customers, especially when they are apt to get a lot of bad publicity when a customer talks about it here or other places. I am glad you came out of it alright in the end, but it sure ruined that trip for you.

Since there are some TJ experts in this group, I'd love to know, what's the fastest way to get back across the border?
I never have any trouble going down there, either driving across, or parking in San Ysidro and using the pedestrian walkway. But nearly every time I come back, it's been a terrible experience. The line of cars trying to get back into the USA Is often 3 or 4 or even 5 hours long. And the line of people waiting to cross on foot is often times just as long. The line at Ped East is friggin' ridiculous at almost any hour. And while Ped West is sometimes much better, you never know when it will be closed for some random BS reason. Then you're stuck in the main line waiting for hours and hours just to get back home.
I have applied for Global Entry, but not sure how long that will take to get approved. I heard it can take months. Until then, are there any secrets to getting back across the border quickly? Like, can I speak through one of those cracks in the border fence or something. LOL!

The urgent care in SD tested me for a whole bunch of stuff, but that one was immediately I'd'd.
If you don't have Global Entry, forget about driving back. Even after midnight it takes 3 to 4 hours. In a GE car, you can cross back in 5 - 15 minutes any time of the day.
To cross back on foot, guys usually wait until after 10 PM when the line is short. My wingmen walk back after midnight, most time there was no wait.

I walk across most times I go down for convenience and find with Global Entry, the walk up is the longest part of the whole process. Once in the building, I think a few minutes is the most I have ever waited.
Wish they would re-open pedwest to normal business hrs. That would really cut the time for me.

I've never tried leaving that late at night. So I'm thinking the plan would be: Swing by HK at 8 pm, enjoy one last hurrah, and then head to la lina. Thanks for the intel!
Global Entry is certainly the best solution. Just waiting for my conditional approval, then the interview. And I'm assuming that won't happen in time for my late April excursion.

It's actually more difficult to get across the border as an American citizen with a USA Passport. If I pretend to be an illegal immigrant, I can just walk through a hole in the wall and they will give me a free cell phone and a bus ride or flight anywhere I'd like to go. Stupid me, I've been doing this the wrong way all along. LOL!
