You are leaving proof you were there, for potential prosecution or legal harassment. Your wife might object. The provider could misuse your card information. I know almost all legit places take cards, so this could mean two things: (A) The place you are going is legit. (B) They might be claiming to take the card simply to give the appearance of being legit. After all it is just a decal. Maybe they don't really accept the card anyway. Better just to use cash.
