P.S.: Let's just make having sex in the US a felony, problem solved.

Pandering different from solicitation?
I did not hear a peep about this until it was on the news earlier this week. Just now looked up the details.
16.6. 11 Pimping and 16.612 Pandering now a FELONY for first offense in GA.
Codified changes in SB 547:

Previous code for reference.

I think TX and NC have similar changes within the last few years. What else is interesting is that Pandering (paid consensual sex) is the same penalty as Pimping in GA. Prostitution is still a misdemeanor. So if you're going to pay to play you might as well run girls on your own for profit.
I have not read of any big arrests in TX or NC, but with this plague spreading in the bible belt it will be interesting to watch how it unfolds. A paid consensual act between adults is legal in at least one state (NV), a misdemeanor in 45 others and a FELONY in a handful.
I don't think we are far off from this getting sent to SCOTUS to review 8th amendment challenge. Just need Robert Kraft, Bill Gates, Palm Beach Pete or Elon to get the itch and get dinged. Hell, I might now vote for Keisha for governor as there are probably a few acts under her belt to get to where she is.
I'm confused.
The legal definition of pandering is key to understanding how the law sees prostitution. It differs from simple solicitation because it includes a third party who helps or encourages these acts.
