Police Arrest Suspect In Garden Grove Hotel Murder
GARDEN GROVE (CBS) ―
Police announced Thursday that they have arrested a suspect in the murder of a 24-year-old woman found in a Garden Grove hotel room in August.

Cops have arrested Cesar Gomez, 34, of El Monte.

Gomez was arrested during a traffic stop in Artesia at 10:15 a.m., according to Garden Grove police Lt. Travis Whitman.

An employee at the Crowne Plaza hotel found the body of Ashley Nicole
Lilly on Aug. 21 and alerted authorities.

Police said Lilly, formerly of Inglewood, was murdered within 24 hours of checking into the hotel.

The hotel at 12021 Harbor Blvd. is close to Disneyland.

Police have not revealed how the woman was killed.

Police Chief Joe Polisar planned a Friday morning news conference to discuss details of the case.
