Yes, Wook, that was Bare Assets. Unfortunately I didn't get the names of the dancers. If anyone here has been in the back there recently, gone bareback and has any doubts if they may have been exposed, they might want to get themselves tested. Of course, BJ's may be one thing but IMHO it is never a good idea to have uncovered f/s with a sex worker. Also, while this particular incident may have occurred at Bare Assets, the same advice applies to bareback activity at any of these type places.

To clarify...

So the answer to Zippeddown's original question "Can anyone tell me if there are extras offered at Bare Assets?" is YES, and those extra's include the clap.

Next time you get the urge to get some uncovered oral relief, just think how many other guys had their dicks in that girls mouth and shot a load down her throat. I hate a covered BJ as much as the next guy, but my health, and life, mean more to me then a few minutes of pleasure. Do a little simple math. Just say a provider is giving bareback head to 5 guys a day, 5 days a week, every week of the month. That`s 1200 guys a year. Sooner or later you will cross paths with a girl who has some sort of disease and we all know there is no cure for any of them. Have fun living with that for the rest of your life and explaining that to your current or future significant other.

Bare assets
Yes, I do know there is always a risk, Just had been there and had seen a couple strippers I really enjoyed. Was possibly going to meet them outside. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Hold up
I don't date them. I rent them (and then only if I can get a reasonable rate). In fact, if no direct payment were involved I might be more worried that I was being dragged into a boyfriend/girlfriend dating relationship that I didn't really want to get involved with.
The odds of forming a decent relationship with a stripper (other than simply a sexual one) are very low. I won't say that all strippers are messed up in the head or only looking for a buck, but enough of them are that it just ain't worth pursuing anything with them other than sexual gratification for yourself at some mutually agreeable rate of pay. Strippers present a sexual fantasy. They may act like they might be available for something more as part of that fantasy (e.g. alluding to the possibility of getting together outside the club or lying about whether they have a boyfriend) but it is nearly always just part of their means of making more money. If you can't understand that or leave it at that then you shouldn't even be in there. If you want to date someone and have a normal relationship then find a normal girl.
I may disagree slightly with that because I have in the recent past formed relationships with a couple girls and mama's of different AMP's in my city. It does have it's very nice perks but they also call me at the drop of a dime whenever anything is needed for them because the girls come and go so frequently in the city they don't know there way around. Paybacks are nice with that. Anyways just my 2 cents worth.

The Clap
The Clap is curable, so that's not that terrible and were these guys getting FS no Cover in the champagne room???
According to the American Social Health Association (ASHA):
"Oral sex is not a common cause of infection with this bacteria. Chlamydia is less likely to be transmitted during oral sex because the bacteria that cause chlamydia prefer to target the genital area rather than the throat. This is why it is unlikely for chlamydia to be transmitted from mouth-to-penis and penis-to-mouth contact, although it is still possible. It is even less likely for transmission to take place from vagina-to-mouth or anus-to-mouth contact. Transmission is not known to occur from mouth-to-vagina and mouth to anus contact."
And as far as Bare Assets not offering any 'extras', in my opinion (no offense please) any guy who goes into a bar just to give money to a girl for dancing around naked is ruining it for the rest of us.
Imagine if You or I could walk into a bar, dance around naked for a few hours, and walk out with THOU$AND$$$$. I'd quit my job TODAY!!! I mean RIGHT NOW! I'm talking to a stripper who tells me that her best week ever she made $17,000 UNTAXABLE in one week.
There used to be. But, according to what I've heard, recently a couple of dancers were fired for spreading clap to some customers (at least one of whom found out about it when he spread it to his wife). Since then the official policy has been zero tolerance for anything extra. There may be a few dancers still taking the chance, but they risk dismissal if they get caught (and management IS watching). Besides, their risk is really the least of it when you consider what happened to those other customers.
An Offer...
Surprisingly, I just got offered a job as a stripper. $500 an hour. O_O I'm contemplating all the ramifications.

A few things. First, the clap maybe curable but that doesn't mean anyone really wants to get it. At the best, it means having to take a bunch of antibiotics and swearing off of sex until it clears up. At worst, you don't realize you've caught it soon enough and spread it to someone else, which can be terribly embarassing to say the least. And, at the very worst, what your wife does to you if you bring it home to her is NOT that "curable" at all. BTW, I'm sure these guys most likely got it going bareback (foolish them) but that doesn't mean it still isn't possible to catch it from an infected partner even if you use a cover (which can break, leak, be improperly put on, etc.)
Secondly, your suggestion that going into a strip bar that did not offer any "extras" was a kind of a waste of time and money was really my whole point. So why should I take offense from that? OTOH, I would not go quite as far as your statement. Some guys go to these places just to be entertained by the dancers on the stage or perhaps a relatively innocent lap dance tease. As long as they aren't foolishly throwing out the type of money that the rest of us pay for full-service escorts (or even if they are) what is the real harm? It is their money. For my part, I think it is pretty silly even to shell out the type of money other guys do for rushed service in a back room whether there are extras or not, when the same money can get them an hour or more with escorts in a much more comfortable and private incall or outcall location. But again, different strokes for different folks, and I don't see how that "ruining" anything for anyone else.
Thirdly, while I agree that some of these dancers make a ridiculous amount for what they do, I think you grossly overstate the case, when you suggest that they all make "THOUSANDS" of dollars for a few hours work. Perhaps there are some dancers at top end clubs in larger cities that routinely do that without providing any extras, but I'm fairly certain they're a very tiny minority of all dancers. I think far more common, particularly these days, if a dancer around here ever makes that much in one night, a) it is only during the busiest nights of the week and not all the other nights she's there, and b) she makes only a tiny fraction of that on the stage, the bulk coming from extras performed in the back rooms.
That stripper who tells you that her best week ever she made $17,000 in one week, did she told you how long ago or how common that was? I'm betting it was not recently. Did she tell you where she did that? I'm betting it was not at a club like BA let alone the many other sleazier strip bars like the Library Lounge or the Seven Seas. Did she tell you how much of that alleged $17K came from tips on the stage and how much came from performing favors in the back? I'm betting it wasn't just for looking pretty on stage. And finally how much can we even really believe of what any stripper tells us?
I think the vast majority of these dancers are now discovering that without providing any extras in the back (either by choice or by managment edict) and factoring in both the prime hours when they still might make a reasonable return along with the slack time during the rest of the week when relatively few guys come into the club (and factoring in "all the ramifications"), their weekly take comes down much closer to what they'd make at a regular job than what you'd expect. Of course, not all the way down or they wouldn't still be working there, but certainly much closer than if they actually did something to earn that extra money beyond just providing a mere tease.

I find your observation very accurate. Got a call yesterday from a dancer who occasionally provides in and out of the club extras. She was actually going in to train for a waitress gig at a local restaurant (in addition to her former outside activities).
Another dancer who I visit with outside of her club (especially since she moved to 2001) bemoaned the fact that while there were people in the club last weekend, no one was spending money.
It's major culture shock, even for the extras girls.

Magic
Based on recent history here, it's highly likely YMMV. Saw Sue there. Pretty good TS, massage ranged from time to time from fair to very good. Speaks southern drawl quite well and is accomodating. Gave standard $.2 and was told later that hers was $.4. Said to bring that next time. I won't but I guess they are having the same economic hard times we all are and are trying to make up for lost trade. Will probably return but my commitment is against increasing the standard.

Friends with a Stripper
Chase,
You can talk to her about her earnings on The Ultimate Strip Club List:
http://www.tuscl.com/
Go under "Discussion" and then "Ask a Dancer." She lives in Texas and there is a lot of Oil Money out there (Bastards...). She's told me the Oil Execs spend money like it's water...
You're probably right about strippers not making that much money in Tampa Right Now, but a Hot/Smart stripper typically makes about $100k+ a year.
I'm sure Escorts make more, and Strippers who Escort are probably at the top of the income Spectrum making the most. There are a few forums and websites you can go to to ask strippers and escorts themselves, here's one of a professional Escort:
http://www.peridotash.com
When I start my Doctorate in Psychology I'm going to delve into the realm of 'Black Market Sex Work', interviewing johns and janes, crunching numbers, and interviewing strippers, to see just how much money is spent and earned and what is mostly done with the money.
I'm hoping that I won't find that most of the money is spent on drugs...I'm HOPING that I'll find that most of the money is just spent on nice houses, nice cars, and clothes.

Window-shopping pleasure
I find WINDOW-SHOPPING or READING SEXUALLY DESCRIPTIVE POSTS and then jacking off at home to be the most pleasurable.
Spending more than 5-10 dollars on tips in a strip club is utter WASTE OF MONEY. Unless one can jack off at home fantasizing some girl, visit to strip clubs is completely useless.
If I go to strip clubs, it is more for the ENVIRONMENT - later on I can place ( in my fantasy of course) any woman of my liking in that environment and have a fantastic happy ending at home.
Bottom line - SEEING/READING about women in certain environments/situations makes me real horny and makes my masturbation as pleasurable as real sex - without any front-end or back-end costs whatsoever.

.
That's not even close to accurate for the Tampa Bay area, for sure. Not even in good times.
The ones that make a daily take that would come up to that figure in a five day week are only working two days a week, if not one, because that's enough to cover their needs.
And the dancers making that on a regular basis are NOT typical dancers.
A typical dancer in this area will pull down about $100-$200 a day. Most COULD make much more but will stop the minute they hit the dollar amount they need to make it until the next day they plan to work.
