I've known a few times when I most certainly was NOT talking to the provider, and headed into the situation with the according caution, but played dumb the whole time so they'd think they had the upper hand. Some will, some won't. I do know that most providers are inundated with nasty, disrespectful texts, so some just don't read their texts very often. Some refuse to text because they figure they can get some sort of read on a potential client on the phone. Forgive me but I didn't know my hobbyist exploits were that well known. I will say that you have a method that works for you and have given you a very apparent advantage while being a hobbyist.
