I don't know what to tell you about searching on Facebook. Take a number in its actual proper format, like 123-456-7890 put it in the search bar. Usually without having to click enter, you will see a hit drop down, otherwise click search, then click People from all the options on top, that's how I find them. Not sure why some people have some many problems.
