LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Laurel County man is charged with possession of a gun in furtherance of a drug crime.

The Herald-Leader reports, 72-year-old Logan Ray Towery, is also charged in the federal case with conspiracy to distribute opioid pain pills.

Towery allegedly used Facebook to arrange for young female addicts to engage in prostitution.

A woman who said she worked for Towery said he arranged for young women to meet men at hotels.

The woman says he paid the women with drugs.

Police arrested Towery on Tuesday.

The Herald-Leader also reports that police got a warrant to search Towery's house this week.

When they searched the home they found 11 guns, more than 125 suspected oxycodone pills and $43,260 in cash, as well as a pistol and $1,168 in his vehicle.

Todd E. Tremaine, a special agent with the USA Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Towery admitted to selling the pills.

Towery said he used to run a prostitution business out of a house in Corbin.

Last place she danced here was Fox Club and she was way more trustworthy than most. She may have been charged with murder but I'd be surprised if she did it.
