OC Vietnamese coffee shops

So I was getting some pho Friday night and my car got flyered with a Cafe Ao Dai flyer. Looks like they are having a grand opening event from April 30 to May 6. According to the flyer, looks like they had a singer on the 30th host and sign autographs and on April 30th to May 1st they had a lion dance. They are also having various 1 dollar specials throughout the week from May 2nd to May 6th. The specials are Machiatto Monday, Latte Tuesday, Cappucino Wednesday, Pour Over Thursday, and Cold Brew Friday. There's also a logo for Intelligentsia fresh roasted coffee on the flyer. Looks like they are pushing hard for this rebranding and are going a more conservative route with possibly better coffee.

You can walk that stretch between Ao Dai, Starz, and Di Vang 2, and decide which one to hit. Plus there's never any parking in the lot over at 368. So might as well park on the street here, and walk a block and a half up Euclid to get into 368.

Was just at 168 watching the spurs-okc game. A team of 10 gang unit officers suddenly walked in. They went right into the back and checked the bathroom and the kitchen. At the time, the girls were all wearing usual bikinis. The crowd were fine. The officer stayed for about 10 min, watching the cafes and then they left. I headed over to 368. The cute asian girl was at the front, the room was half empty. I counted 2 girls working. I left without sitting down, when I was leaving the parking lot, I saw 4 tustin gang units cars drove by. All filled with 3/4 officers.

Within a couple of days things were back to normal and regular shows had resumed. I've been there a lot in the last week and things are exactly like they were before the incident. I've noticed that I haven't seen some of the usual faces the last couple of weeks, but turnover is always high at these places. I don't think it has anything to do with what happened.

I finally made it to SoCal. The scene here is way better than NorCal but still not as good as those body painting and baby doll cafe like like pics I see online back in 2012 . Anyway I missed the opportunity. Is there cafes in Vietnam like this that may do more variety. Trying to get onto this full time till I unearthed the themes in my head.

If you REALLY want attention from the girls, it definitely wouldn't hurt to tip the girl who takes your order / refills your tea upfront while they are serving you. But personally, I prefer to sit back and enjoy the view.

There are always a good handful of non-asian dudes hanging out around these shops. Some times the girls will be paranoid when a new WASP such as yourself comes in, but they'll warm right up to you once they realize you're just another pervy guy who likes tits and ass like everyone else in there, especially if they think you'll be a generous tipper.

Asian or otherwise. Like Cafe Lu and Cafe Vui in adjacent strip malls on Harbor.

Quan Khat on Beach is another place to avoid. Quan Moi on Brookhurst probably sucks too since they have some of the same girls.

For better service, go to the digit places pretty much any day. On the weekend hit up DV2, Starz, and Ao Dai, three cafes along Euclid. Weekends are also good over at Cafe Dang on Westminster.
