I'm sure it's tempting for the provider to write her own review. This happens occasionally on this board but has been much more prevalent on the Massage Parlor Reports. In fact there was one just recently that was called out by another monger, (please read #3865 through #3872 on GrandRapids MPR.) we need to keep an eye out for these self reviews.

So give me your opinion, please read post #8488 then my comment with another mongers comment on #8499 . Belle in kazoo and NNL in San Diego are members and they communicate with us through PM and postings, they are good examples of how it should be done.

Hi Jukebox.

Put yourself in their shoes. If they get to know that there is actually a forum like this where we discuss all this and good reviews here just means increased business, why wouldn't they think. This business is not a small business, they can make real good money from this alone. Think about it. Hhr normal rate $, hr normal rate $$, so, we are talking of good money. And for that, they can easily post good reviews.

And the most important part is that you don't even have to be a member to read them. So, I'm pretty sure there are even more non-members just checking what we write here.

So, our providers will definitely feel like registering and becoming a member just to post a golden review for themselves. However, they cannot fool us easily. LOL. And for Lacy, I'm positive that she is reading this becoz she says that in her ad also. I'm not saying that Lacy has posted that review though. But I'm just saying it really makes sense to think that they have posted the review.

In all seriousness though, I agree with what you're saying. There's a relatively innocent motive to write, or have someone you know write glowing reviews of yourself. Sure, biased of course, but it obviously helps reel in business, so one can't be shocked.

I was having lunch (yes lunch) with a national traveling provider named FreekiKeeky (very funny girl and great provider, before lunch). She told me this bizarre story about her own self review in Kansas. Based on her language in the review every monger called foul, and posted that we will still be willing to see you if you give a full confession on our USA board and promise to never do it again. She was so embarrassed because she really didn't need another good review, she already had them nation wide but not in Kansas. She confessed and never did it again. True Story!

We can tell when a women is writing, there is a big difference. Mr.G might not be Lacy (maybe her Mom) I highly doubt Mr.G is a monger.
