I learned real quick that it is a scam.

More recently I have even decided that since extra's are now readily available no girl that refuses them would get my money. Even if I really only want a dance n' grope session.

The bars make most of their money off of the bar. At Henry's some of the waitresses can be a pain constantly asking you to buy a drink. This is the only bar that I was told I had to buy at least 2 drinks an hour.
It is what it is, If I know the dancer I don't have a problem buying her one drink.

Cigar bars and tobacco specialty shops that meet certain criteria are exempt, as are the gaming floors of Detroit's three casinos. Michigan's 20 American-Indian casinos are not covered by state law, so they are exempt as well.

Are you talking about Henry's North? I go to Henry's south (a lot) and never get asked for a drink after my first one. Bogart's is another matter..

Anyone sample Alexis at bogarts? long brown hair, very pretty face and thin.

I had a chance, but wasn't sure it would be worth it.

When they look too good, the dances seem over priced and I am usually disappointed.

Anyone have an experience with her?

About 25 years ago I made my first trip to New York City. I was walking around carrying my suitcase, looking for a "cheap" hotel. I passed a topless bar and walked in for a little break. It was a Friday afternoon, and it was almost empty. An old skag was dancing, and she got down and sat next to me just as my waitress was getting my order for a bottle of bud. The dancer asks me to buy her a drink, and I said ok. When the waitress came back I gave her a 20, and she said "thats 8.50 more". I said "what"? She said "your beer is 3.50, her drink is $25, that's 28.50". I said something like "wait a minute", and the waitress and dancer both jumped on me "well you ordered it, we opened it, you have to pay for it". As I started to get up I said something like "I'm a dumb hillbilly ok? I'm from out of town, call the cops if you want, I AIN'T BUYING NO $25 DRINK!!!" as I started to raise my voice a little. They both backed down real fast, said I could stay, next time I should ask first before ordering. I've been asking ever since.

When the $18.50 drink, I would have just refused to pay. What are they going to do, kick you out? They'll respect you more if you refuse. I know some places have a quota of drinks the girls have to hustle, or they'll have to pay for them anyway. Other places the girl gets paid for the drinks she hustles. I just tell the girls I don't like buying drinks there, because they're so over-priced.

I won't boycott H8S, but the next time a girl asks me to buy her a drink, I'll pass on your story.

Could be Destiny who used to work at H8S. Someone told me she was working at Bogart's.
Destiny offered a full menu when she was at H8S but after a while would not offer bbbj.

Went to Parthenon last Sat 75 cent domestic beer until 7pm, 5 dollar cover to get in. Mix of dancers blk and white mostly 6-7. 25 dollar dances in private booths with curtains very private. I did not get the vibe that extras were available but they could be. Stopped by Bouzouki last Thurs during the day, they are remodeling. The place was dead but they did have 5 dancers working
beer was 4 dollars. The new rules for Detroit clubs have not gone into effect yet one dancer told me. Pretty asian dancer the rest were ok, the private dance area still in the same spot no booths just couches.

Went to HS last night. Stayed too long and drank too much. It was crowded enough that there was a line for the VIP. Got approached by every single girl there, including the irritating Costa Rican, Desiree (who came up and just started rubbing her stomach into my back and mouthing something about pilates), that Asian lady with the fake boobs who looks about 60, and some others I hadn't seen before.

Most came up with outrageous prices, like 150 for FS (in the back room of HS? Shit, I could get an hour in a clean, quiet motel room for that), 100 for BJ, etc. I called each and every one of them out on it - "I could get that for less than half that here," I'd tell them. 'Your coworkers are undercutting your rates, big-time." They'd drop the price but not enough.

Wound up letting the booze and the dick talk me into going back with this tall, thick black girl. Forgot her name. Covered BJ, but that wasn't cutting it so took off the rubber and had a HJ. Put my hand by my side for support and wound up in a small pool of mystery juice. That was an absolute buzzkill.

On a side note, I don't usually go on Fridays and have never seen those waitresses. Anyone know anything about the short one with the blond streaks in her dark hair? Maybe my judgment was impaired but man she looked good to me last night.

Haven't been there since it was the Atlantis, but back in the day the girls would take their breaks at the bar across the street (since the Atlantis pretty much never had a liquor license.)

I went to the club about 12:30 today and it was closed. Have they changed their hours or is something else going on. Anyone know?
