Well ladies and gentlemen. After 5 years in the game I am done. Had my first and last robbery attempt that has me shaken. Moral of the story, always trust your gut. Even small red flags are huge in hindsight.
Stay safe.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I'm surprised they waited to rob you until the deed was done, would have expected it before or during the act. I approach things the way you do, bring only the money for the appointment etc. I accept the risk that once I enter an apartment I could be robbed. I am willing to lose what I brought in but hope I will not be followed to my car or assaulted.
I'm wondering what we can do to avoid the trouble you ran into (other than quitting the hobby). Maybe stick to daylight visits and be sure the car is parked in a public area?
I can't thank you enough for the post. I have been in e-mail contact with the same person.
I have been racking my brain for what I could've done different. When I met her it was at 9 in the morning. Where I messed up is when she said there was a male roommate sleeping in the room I should've just bolted. But she was cute so I just stayed the course. Also as soon as I heard the door open and him say something I should've grabbed my jacket and ran but I hesitated for a second and within that second he was on me and my chance slipped away. I find it weird as well that the deed was completed before they attempted to rob me and that brings me solace that at least I came on the tits of a hot younger chick at a decent price with ALOT of extra bs associated. Idk why people do what they do. If she would've of just gave me what I wanted and I left she would've had a repeat customer out of me. But hey, so is life.
Posting these images to assist Big Rd.
These are the images he received (as well as one from another member) from the situation that went bad earlier this week.
Be warned and most importantly... BE SAFE!
Hi guys.
As many of you might have an SO to worry about, it is important to keep your trail clean. I discovered something the other day that I should warn you about. On our computer we use google chrome for internet. For this and other sites, I use explorer and always used 'in private browsing' to make sure I keep clean. The other day, I was typing in "US.... " on google chrome and I saw this site, including the '/ forums / Wisconsin / racine' thing show up on the auto drop down as I was typing. To say I was shocked is an understatement. I had exactly two hours to figure this out. It took a little searching, but I figured it out. Its pretty simple really:
If you use chrome, do the following:
1. Left click on the three parallel line box on the upper right.
2. Select 'settings' from the drop down menu.
3. Scroll down to 'Users'.
4. Select 'Import bookmarks and settings'.
5. There will be a drop-down with the other internet browsers. On the suspect browsers (MS Explorer for me) deselect everything that is ticked.
6. Go back to chrome and wipe your browsing history.
7. Restart your computer and make sure when you type in chrome address bar that nothing suspect shows up.
Good point, this is also true on Android phones using Chrome.

Just a heads up.

Just a heads up.
Just "shows to go ya" (that was humor) that this is still a dangerous hobby and some restraint needs to be shown. Do your homework and make sure the big head is engaged before the little head makes its decisions. BP is mentioned so they know what's going on and I find that large number of newbies asking for info (esp. Via "PM's") very concerning.

Three Pleasant Prairie cops parked behind the Super 8 motel. Play safe.
