Thanks Captain. I see how a day time visit goes, I am not much of a night person anymore. I will stick with whatever China's are in the club. I don't want to mess with the street girls until I get a better feel for the place; that will probably take a few trips. If rateros chokehold you, jam that pen hard against his balls. That would break off the attack.

The security risks are way overblown by skittish guys who are afraid of even waiters and workers in bars. I have been going to Tijuana for 18 years, mostly by myself, on foot and by car, late at night, and have not been robbed, assaulted or had anything stolen by anyone. Just use caution and be alerted of threats like in any big US cities. Take taxis from and to the border. Walk with the crowd. Stay in the clubs and around the bar block, and you will be safe. Be friendly with the girls and local mongers. You will have a very good, sexy time.

It's sweet to be able to communicate even the most basic things with the girls. I visited China many times when the sex scene was liberal, met lots of very beautiful, nice, sweet young girls, but got bored quickly as we could not communicate even the sjplest things. I've been both day and night both in club and street. Albeit the talent is different in quantity, you can still do very well during a day trip. I would say for the noob it can also be easier (daytime) on you as the pressure is lower. During the day its easy to walk in and blow off the meseros pressure to sit and order a drink. Girls are more relaxed. On the street level, its easier to negotiate a lower price. Less rateros and policia harassment. I've been stopped and searched probably 20-30 times but never before 6 pm.

I've stayed at Rizo's before. It's right across the street from HK. Hands down, quality wise the Cascades is the nicer between the 2 places, but it's also the most expensive place to stay in that area. As someone mentioned though, if you are on one of the lower floors of the Cascades, you can easily hear that loud club music in your room playing all through the night. I've only stayed at 4 different places in the Zone Norte, but I would say that quality wise the Rizo is the second nicest places I've stayed at so far. The room was nice and clean, and had a nice bathroom in it. I didn't have a noise problem. The only real problem I had, was that for some reason, the front desk wouldn't give me the remote to control the AC / Heater unit in the room. They had to come into my room to turn the AC unit on and off, and adjust the temperature. This was back in Oct when I stayed there, so it was still a little warm out. So I asked them to turn the AC on, and then it got to cold in the room. So I asked them to turn it down, and instead they turned it off. It was rather comical what I ended up going through to finally get it adjusted to make it tolerable.

Rizzo de Oro is drab and depressing with paint peeling off the walls.

Hotel Cascada is newly remodeled, nice, clean, fresh with new rooms, new furnishing, mood lights, a lot nicer place to have sex with bar or street girls. You can take girls from Hong Kong, Las Chevelas, Tropical or from the street to Cascada. They are more likely to go with you to Cascada than walking across the street to Rizzo.

Both hotels ar eprcied abotu the same, FRizzo is a few bucks cheaper, and have about the same noise level from the clubs. Cascada's rooms on 6, 7 and 8 floors are new, nice, clean and quiet. I don't hear music on these floors except when that damn brass band decides to play at 4 AM on the street, then the whole neighborhood wakes up. Damn.

I will be heading into Tijuana in the near future and I plan to have some food while I am there. Would I need to have pesos to buy food from either the taco stand or from Azul's? I see that Azul's menu is in pesos, so I'm not sure if they take US $. If they do take US $, what would be the exchange rate I should expect? How much are the tacos at the stand on the corner by HK?

I am guessing two of the clubs you are thinking are HK and Adalitas. They both have entrances on the alley. About 50-100 girls are stationed in that alley standing 5-10 feet apart. Some hot. I got to HK around 5:30 pm Sunday evening. Used the 2 for1 coupon for a free beer and watched some of the fun. Gave a few propinas and just enjoyed the beautiful bodies that were all around. The clubs are okay, but the SG / SW quality has really gone down during the daytime over the past 2-3 years. Karina is about the only SG worth going with during day. These days 6 pm is about the earliest I will head to the Zona. Usually I try and arrive around 7 or 8 pm. If go any earlier you end up having to kill time until the better looking girls come out. Unless I have a dental appt or have other errands like visiting my tailor is about the only reason I head to Tijuana during day. Now if the quality of girls was better during day I would visit Tijuana. Years ago I used see Jamie or Kayla during day. The problem is that they work very sporadically and rarely come out. I will probably head to Tijuana in late afternoon tomorrow or Wednesday depending on how the weather is.

I first ventured into Tijuana for Super Bowl Sunday (alone). I did the walk during the daytime from the border to Zona Norte (allow about 20 - 25 minutes and stay sharp). I would not recommend doing the walk at night. Had some bomb tacos at the HK taco stand. I then ventured into Chicago at a mesero's suggestion. Decent talent but I wasn't blown away. Had a beer and ordered one for the girl I was talking to (she said she was from Cabo). Good first impression.

I returned this weekend with a friend at night and wow, I was blown away. We did a quick circuit of the block in Zona Norte. Pretty good street talent (some looked too young). But Hong Kong was a revelation. It was smaller than I expected compared to Tootsie's in Miami but wow, consistent 9's roamed everywhere. I didn't talk to anyone, just enjoyed the foam shows. One of the meseros offered us a VIP room and we bit the bullet. Two girls for $100 plus tip for a half hour. My girl was Nazaret, said she was from Tijuana but her accent was Colombian. First, I am a long time monger from Florida and felt that would be comfortable in Mexico after reading your posts. WRONG!

So I cross the boarder and headed towards the zone. For some reason, my phone GPS has me going to Amestad and making a you-turn back to where I started. It wanted me o go through the plaza. After making a few you-turns I finally got my bearings and headed in the right direction. My phone says 15 minute walk but when I got under the bridge I realized it was more than 15 minutes so I tried an UBER only to find my UBER app disappeared somehow off my phone. So at 2:00 PM today I gave up my quest and headed back to the good old USA.

A word of advice to anyone going alone. Do your homework and be prepared.

I might have a chance to go to Tijuana in a few weeks, but I've got some concerns. All of my mongering consists of SWs, AMPs, and some takeout club girls in the Middle East. I'm a typical looking white dude and I speak zero Spanish. Would I be out of my league here if I caught a ride to the zona and back?

I still have not ventured into Tijuana and my job even takes me close to the border! My hesitation is that I have no other reason to get a passport and don't want my SO to wonder why I did. Is there really no way to go in and out without one? I'd love to experience it!

Contact the below agencies. The first agency is run by a native English speaker; the second one by a guy who is bi-lingual. If you want a little-stress experience, ask for a senorita who speaks some English and has the menu items you desire. They can arrange to have you picked up at the border and will take care of details from there.

Guys be careful and be safe.[/QUOTE]It is easy to use google maps to find the Zona and look at the layout. Spend some time getting the feel for where things are. Then don't be a cheap ass and send 5 bucks for a taxi and you are there.

I had issues with my cell as well. I think much of it depends on your carrier. At the time I had Sprint. It seemed like it took the phone awhile to cross over to the Mexican system (not sure if that is the right way to put it). As soon as you got out of customs you should have just jumped in a cab and said Hong Kong and you would have been fine.

A five dollar alternative would be to use a taxi.

At least that's how it was my last visit and cross the border hop in a taxi.

I went to AltaDena's and when I was done taxi take me back five dollars each way.
