I have a thing for the exotic looking ladies. Asian and especially Latinas. My favorites are Filipina, Columbian, and esp Brazilian. Nothing like hearing "Oh Papi, Que Rico!" to really put lead in your pencil. Oh yes, and Jamaican. My last vacation was to Negril and all I can say is wow! Talk about monger heaven, but I digress.

I know as a newbie (this site, not in mongering) not to expect a referral (my definition of that is putting your credibility on the line for me). But can anyone give me a hint as to a specific area where an SP or 2 fitting the bill is known to stroll. Maybe even a name to ask for?

I have frequented the east-side 3/5/B/H/X from K to S, and north D/M/S areas. But so far have only found Black and White SPs. Not that there's anything wrong with them, and I do use them since that's all I can find, but would really like something exotic.

I can offer info on 1 place in a little different area:

I can recommend the "South Park Tavern" on Wayne, just and of Wyoming. Didn't seem to be a place where SPs hang, but a great selection of beers from all over the world and great pizza. Good, safe place for a mongering break

Considered stopping in some bars myself but decided its best to leave them be for reasons that Pleasuregiver gave. There are some better choices to stop for just a drink that are still close by. KC Lounge on Airway (which changes names to 3rd as it crosses Smithville) KC isnt that much to brag about but its a small little pastie bar thats safe enough to stop at as long as you dont look too out of place or act a fool. You could stop in one of the many bars in the Oregon district on 5th, hopefully there will be no cover charge to get in or try Tanks. It is a bar and grill up the road on Wayne past Wyoming. A good mix of people there so there should be no problems. Highly unlikely there will be a sw lurking in these spots (well other than KC) but they are safe and close by the circuit.

I stopped in "Band Box Bar" yesterday while cruising the area on my Harley, but not mongering, since there were a couple other bikes there. I felt a little out of place, but not threatened. It's OK to get a beer in. At least it is during the middle of the day.

Am not ignoring your advice. This was just before I got your replies. My posts are delayed several hours before they show up due to still being monitored since a newbie.

McConnell's and Katie's Place. After looking at more closely driving by, no way would I go in. Now that I have your advice, will follow it regarding them. Glass Hat, I still want to try. I noticed they have a sign for Karaoke Night, so how bad can it really be. LOL. Thanks for notice about house in back, so I definitely won't go alone. But if I wasn't a little adventurist I never would have tried South Park Tavern. Which I stopped in again and really like.

I'll give KC Lounge a look. I agree Oregon District is good (esp like Trolley Stop and Blind Bob's). Was just looking for something closer to east SW action.

PG is right. What are you going to accomplish? If the crowd is hostile, that's obviously not good. If they are indifferent, well you can grab a beer anywhere, right?

I'm a very big guy--think lineman--and was a good boxer back in the day. So I can handle myself if I need to. You want me on your side in a fight.

But I wouldn't hang out in those bars. Discretion is always the better part of valor. Don't ask for trouble. Some risks are justified; this one is not.

Band box has nice trim sometimes. As long as you don't go looking for trouble it tends not to find you, with exceptions, but that is every place. Give them a try and see what you come up with. And for the record I dnt live on that end either, I'm only there for the same reason as you, so IMHO go for it, watch your 6 (anywhere you go) and have a blast. You might actually leave with something nice.

She was sweet, funny, talented, and OMG did I mention HOT! I sent her a text Thursday afternoon and after some discussion she agreed to meet me. I picked her up at a friends near my work and we went to here place. Her roomamte was there as well as the roomates sister. Both were nice, friendly and posed no issues at all. Gentlemen,

When you're checking out the stroll, you need to drive like a preacher.

The cops know who you are and what you're looking for pretty quickly on patrol.

They will use any excuse to pull you over e.g. one of two license plate lights burned out.

They will ask lots of questions about what you are doing in this area at this time. You can avoid a bust if you give a plausable reason and you don't run your mouth too long.

But if there is beer on your breath, they have you by the short hairs.

What we do can be fairly risky, you really should keep your wits about you.

There's nothing wrong with taking risks in life, you sorta have to sometimes. Just don't get real stupid about it.
