A Plus Spa on trop / Jones
Stopped by A Plus Spa on Trop / Jones (spa faces Jones) and got a 1/2 hr $50 massage. About 7 minutes into massage while I was laying on my back, the girl asks me how much I am going to tip. I was just relaxing and it took me by surprise. I told her I usually tip and kept relaxing. Anyways, she stops the massage and goes and gets my pants and turns them upside down and causes my wallet, keys and money to fall out. The Masseuse wanted her tip now and it started a discussion. A customer walks in and she leaves to talk to him. The girl comes back and tells me the massage is over. I tell her I want my money back and she tells me to leave. I tell her to call the Police cause this is wrong! She gets all fired up and tries to intimidate me and I reach for my own cell phone and she's asks what I am doing. I tell her I am calling the Police and report her and this place. (I know that if enough reports are made against the establishment, the licensing dept. Will not renew the massage license) All hell breaks loose and she gives me back $20 and tells me to leave. Screw that, all or nothing. The other customer leaves and the girl gives me back all my $50.00.
I am telling this story because it seems to be a growing trend among the tales told here that there are more and more rip-offs occurring and the mongers are taking it. I don't recommend violence, but if you file an anonymous report about a massage parlor to the police and business licensing department, they will NOT renew there privilege massage licenses. Mongers need to start standing up for their rights instead of cowering under intimidation. These people only do it because they have gotten away with it.
