One way I've starting looking, is to click on the "gallery" view on Backpage and look at a picture from every ad at one time. The amatuer pics will really stand out: the lighting will not be right, there will be a green or yellow-ish hue, the poses will look different from those professional pics, makeup is different. That's one way I've started deleting ads, which these days, is most of them.

But if you must, your advice is sage. Gallery view and the real ones jump out like a 3D movie.
