a 61-year-old man with a history of visiting davenport looking for **** girls to have sex with was sentenced wednesday to two years for soliciting prostitution.

marvin sentence and fine of $625 is from an incident sept. 12 at the corner of 2nd and warren streets when he tried to solicit an 11-year-old for sex.

the day before his sentencing marvin was arrested for trying, again, to find an **** prostitute. the arrest affidavit says that about 1:40 p.m. tuesday he offered a known prostitute $50 to find him a 14-year-old girl to have sex with him.

he made inquiries of at least three women, police said. two of the women called police.

marvin is in scott county jail on a $2,000 bond. his arraignment in tuesdays arrest is jan. 28.

There wer two Amandas I met in town both would be mid 20s by now, I posted pics of them soemtime ago. One of them, who sounded like she was a black girl but was white had a friend named Little Mama. But think that was just what she was called not her real name.

Did you use a credit card? If so, I would check your balance right away and cancel that card. Usually scammers like these won't rip you off for a lot because that would encourage victims to seek prosecution. If they only rip you off for a small amount of money, most victims are willing to eat it to avoid the potential embarrassment involved in going to the authorities. Still, there is no telling where your credit card number could end up.

There are a few reputable verification services that one could end up paying for, but in general do not trust an ad that requires you to pay something up front.

a davenport man was sentenced to up to 30 years in prison in scott county this morning for using an 11-year-old girl to rob another man he knew was soliciting **** prostitutes.

40 year old jeffrey , was found guilty last month of second-degree theft and using a juvenile to commit a crime. jeffrey will have to serve at least 70 percent of his time for the second-degree theft charge, to which he was sentenced to 15 years.

hes a serious threat to the community, judge mark cleve said, citing jeffrey extensive criminal history in deciding his 30-year sentence.

the judge denied jeffrey hand-written motions to seek a new trial and change of counsel. in the motions, jeffrey claimed he was trying to protect the girl and that some evidence relating to the sept. 12 incident was not presented during the trial.

61 year old marvin had testified that he was in the area of 2nd and warren streets in davenport looking for prostitutes when he met jeffrey, who was with an 11-year-old girl.

only me, that girl and marvin knew what happened, jeffrey said at todays sentencing.

i beat the man up because he touched her. thirty years of my life is on the line. i admit i assaulted him. i promised the girl id protect her, that id take her home. she was in a drug- and prostitute-infected part of town.

moments later jeffrey added, i admit it was wrong asking her to get into the car.

marvin had testified that jeffrey attempted to offer the 11-year-old for $200. when marvin declined the offer, he said, jeffrey beat and robbed him.

the incident was reported to police with jeffrey being an unknown good samaritan who stopped an attempted abduction, police said.

jeffrey did not testify during his trial. a taped interview with davenport detectives was shown to the jury.

marvin was sentenced in december to two years for soliciting prostitution. he is charged on another, unrelated prostitution crime in scott county.

he picks victims he thinks no one gives a crap about, prosecutor amy devine said today of jeffrey.

this is amazing, jeffrey said upon hearing his sentence.

jeffrey record stretches back to 1989 when he was convicted of arson in shelton, wash. a robbery conviction in 1991 in mercer island, wash., got him a four-year prison sentence.

he was convicted of robbery in 2001 in anchorage, alaska, and was sentenced to two years in prison.

in may 2005, he was charged with second-degree theft for stealing his wifes car. the charge was dismissed because his wife did not cooperate with prosecutors.

jeffrey was charged with domestic assault in 2006 and was ordered to complete a scott county batterers education program.

I have not had any response to my question about massage providers in the QC so I spent some time out and about when I got into town about midnight.
