Seriously though, I've said for years that if brothels were legalized and made more upstanding (not old run down buildings) where it was a cleaner office type environment and controlled by the CDC, etc and have doctors perform 'clinic' type hours in there to maintain that the girls (or guys) who work there are all disease free, the USGOV could tax the heck out of it and lower state and Fed'l taxes and / or improvements to schools, infrastructure, etc with funds made. The problem is that there are too many people thumping the Bible saying that its immoral. I say if its two consenting adults, then by all means, do it. Also, I think this would also help allot with preventing sex trafficking and possibly violent sex crimes. Who knows. ?

So, even if DC passes the bill and the Mayor signs, I don't think the current climate in the House or Senate will allow it to become law.

On the conservative side you have the traditional anti-prostitution groups who will put pressure on their elected officials.

On the liberal side you have all the anti-trafficking activists who have done a great job of defining pretty much any prostitution-related activity, including consensual, as trafficking and exploitation of women.

What DC might be able to get away with (see link) is to pass a resolution that directs the PD to not investigate, or refer for prosecution, consensual adult activity in which $ is exchanged. They would still be free to arrest and prosecute more serious matters. A well-crafted resolution might have the desired effect without having to go thru Congress.

The attitude of the left confounds me because all real studies and empirical data show that the decriminalization is literally the single most important thing in stopping trafficking. Nothing else removes the criminal element as much as removing criminality and making it a service.

I warn you guys who want to make this comment a Red / Blue thing. I do not agree with either side and conservatives block it just as bad as liberals, neither is BETTER than the other on the subject of prostitution so don't start any of that Red / Blue horseshit.

[/QUOTE]For this year you're undoubtedly correct and for good reason. Next year is a presidential election year and a number of representatives and senators are either currently seeking the presidency or considering becoming candidates. I think Congress could be more receptive to allowing such DC legislation to become law in 2021 after the presidential contest is out of the way.

IMHO, anyone who uses deception or scam tactics doesn't deserve any discretion or benefit of the doubt. I would encourage you to go beyond posting the phone number and to also post the website, ad link, and any pics used as part of the scam. That way other forum members can be forewarned. And a pic will stick in the mind much more than a set of phone digits.

Just my two-cents' worth.

So I texted an ACS that typically has staff at a 2/3 star in Springfield.

Texted I arrived, got the # and about to head up. As I walk in side door near elevator I see the manager (can tell by shirt) also walking towards the elevator. I wait, will I'm talking on phone, then head to floor. He is on the floor so I divert like I'm talking on phone head back down, wait 5 min and walk up stairs and is waiting on same floor, comes up to me and says "what are you looking for" "can I help you" , I say soda machine and he says first floor. Then I hear him on the 2 way saying, "2nd time on the floor" to another guy I also saw earlier in blue maintenance shirt. It like they are waiting. Place has cameras in hallway.

Stay away.
