I have seen a lot of chatter on IHC (1818 New York Ave.) Lately, I have been visiting there semi-regularly for the past year. It is more convenient for me that the other downtown places I make sporadic forays to (Downtown, Supra, Happiness, and CPHC). Since I go there enough that the Mamasan has had me help carry groceries up from the parking lot as I came in on at least one occasion, I though I would put my $0.02 worth in.
The first quarter of this year, they had one of the best group of provides in there that I have seen anywhere in a long time. One young woman, Dang Yee (spelled as it sounds) was the nearest thing to a GFE I have ever had in an AMP. I went back to see her four times and never got around to a massage on any of the visits. She was mot much above average in her facial looks, but the has a great body, according to my tastes at least. She had a pleasant personality and even though it fun to try and get around the language barriers (her English was so-so). During that time, there were at least three other providers that I found almost as enjoyable to spend an hour with.
However, since June, I think the service has slipped a bit. The current crew is very attractive, and provides all the services that AMP’s have come to expect, but the attitude with which it is server had been lacking. Hey don’t seem to give a rats ass if you are there or not. Last moth I received what I believe was probably the shortest table shower in (at least in my) AMP history. She could not have spent more then 45 sec per side, including soaping and rinsing. And I can tell you, at that speed, you just can not be very gentle with the Jewels. Just the other week, I had one provider who after the table shower handed me the towel and told me to dry myself off (a first in 5 years of AMPing), and then back at the room, smoked a cigarette before starting the massage. At IHC, they usually kneel down and dry your feet off for you.
Things seemed to get a bit better last weekend. I saw Jenny, who had a very bubbly personality and was at least an 8 out of 10 on looks. She joked with me, gave me a kiss on the cheek before heading to the shower and told me that I was cute (10 points for sucking up). Her table shower was slow and pleasant and the massage was also above average. However, when it came time for the good stuff, she got a little cooler and more business like. All the amenities were provided. Her CBJ was expert even at high speed, and she was tight and worm like a woman should be. But, she did not like my hand to roam. I like to have a hand full of tit during cowgirl, but even though I was gentle, she didn’t seem to like much it and took my hands away. I will have to give Jenny another try and see if that professional demeanor during the main event can be softened a bit.

I've seen the latino guy several times. Never a problem, he seems to be there at night, so I would guess he is a bouncer. I've heard others on this board assert that it is standard practice at AMPs to check the belongings of newcomers for traces of bacon, but have never heard of anything ever being missing. Nevertheless, it is always prudent to take only what you will be spending...
The club down on the street is indeed busy. Have not gone in since it seemed to be populated by 20 something couples. They are too pretty for this old sh!t.

I been reading this forum alot but just too lazy to post. Finally realize I shouldn't do that so here I am with my post.
I'm a long time regular at 1818. Been there for who knows how many time. I totally agress with Hondo that the service is alway a B+/A-. I was there twice for the last 10 days. I wanted to try Jamie but she was busy both time. The first time i got "Luby". she is a small, a bit on the skinny side, about 5"3, and she is a keeper. very aggressive on bed and she is the only girl I met on 1818 that does DFK. I would like to see her again for sure, but with the big line up that 1818 has all the time, I don't know I will get to do so. second time I saw Sandy. I've seen that guy myself. I took him to be a bouncer as well I few AMP's have been robbed in the pass so a few have security in plain site I saw a regular security guard at the royal awhile back the guy was in full uniform to boot.

Still though -- that was strange considering the "annonymous" nature of mongering. LOL - imagine the thoughts that guy must have while working guarding an AMP.
Anyhow - I dont' think I'll be heading to Downtown (or others) at night because of that. I certainly wont' be heading to Downtown at night because of the 4 flights. That was just too sureal climbing those stairs - wondering if I was gonna get hit with a baseball bat turning a corner. LOL. I know - I'm a pussy.
In regards to Young - no offense to anyone who loves her - but I didn't find her that great. *shrug* She did a hella job ass rimming though. A good 15 minutes worth in all kinds of positions too boot. That part was fun.
I think next time - I'm gonna give 1818 a shot.

Question.
I've been reading the site for a while now and I haven't heard much mention of the prevention of STDs. Some guys go in BBBJ without thinking twice. I'd be aftaid that even with a latex condom I'd contract genital herpes. I know its a drag but are these girls, like the ones at downtown, checked? Can you check yourself? Seriously, as far as security concerns there, being a Metro commuter, I frequently go in there dressed in business attire, wallet, jewelery, even briefcase in tow, I've never been ripped off or had any reason to be concerned about it.
I normally don't see the bouncer as I am usually there earlier in the evening, but I don't see the blackmail threat any worse than the security camera filming you walking in the door. Think about it, a pissed off customer could all too easily get them shut down. I'm sure LE would be happy to offer a deal to anyone willing to retell their exploits in the big white room and they know this. So I believe any security measures there (however crude) are there for the benefit of both the patrons and providers. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Well, it still holds true that sometimes the only way you learn is by experience and it requires both good and bad experiences to learn. Was getting bored with the usual places for pussy and like any good monger am always on the hunt for new sources. As such, occaisonally I peruse the CityPaper. In the past it has produced some really great finds for me. Today, I am sorry to report it produced a total rip off for me and proves that even an experienced monger can be suckered.
I called one ad that sounded pretty good and spoke to the woman who did a pretty good job of convincing me that they were a "legit" place, serving up heaping platefuls of my favorite dish. I was very specific about what I expected within the confines of phone mongerspeak, to which she responded appropriately.
To make a long story short, naturally AFTER relieving me of the fee I discovered that it was only going to be a body rubbing session by two very lovely naked young ladies and an enthusiastic handjob combined with dirty talking. What is this bullshit? I pretty quickly tried to push it in the direction I was interested in and told them this wasn't cutting it and that I had made it clear, blah, blah, blah knowing all the while that I was fucked. I said fuck this and got up, dressed and went hunting the money taker. Naturally, this caused a shitstorm pretty quick as I knew it would and it took less than 60 seconds for a pretty big mother fucker to appear who made it pretty clear that I could leave under my own power or he would pleased to assist me, a choice which I figured would no doubt include some unpleasant bouncing down the stairs so I elected to walk under my own power. I was pissed!
