Once I explain I can only meet 1 x a month (not anything regular) and they agree to keep chatting, it pretty much means an allowance is off the table. If they really want a single SD, I'm not a good fit. That weeds out the 'pay my rent / take me to Qatar' queens. If they are way too professional about the chat and bring up boundaries, mutually beneficial, etc. It usually means $500+ PPM so I end those quickly. They're probably fine but I like to find the diamonds in the rough.
Slow down and play the numbers game. Try to at least give the illusion you're seeking a connection that includes but isn't only focused on intimacy it gives them cover psychologically to move forward. Bonus points if you mean it.
