No offense to anyone but I hold various Clearances and hire people that have to hold clearances and NOTHING gets destroyed or hidden in our system.

Also you have INTERPOL records that will show up where FBI and "Other" government agency's will not.

The best thing you can do if you want any type of decent job while doing this HOBBY is to be well informed and try your best to keep your record clean.

Totally untrue. I can log onto the Seattle Muni website right now and see arrests I had as long as 20 years ago. I know because I just went there. Even 20 year old parking tickets are listed.

If you contact the court and ask them what is going on as it should have been deleted X-amount of years ago they will/should delete the record. Then again they may take an interest in you for wanting the information erased. Here it is a 50-50 chance you will take.

CIV, do you have a link we can use to test this out? I tried playing around in the City of Seattle courts website and found no record of myself.

Please show us where you searched and found your records.

Then click on defendant, then click on name. Enter your name, or anyone else's that you might know. It only lists traffic infractions, parking tickets, and misdeameanors that were processed by the City of Seattle.

That's what I thought. Searching my records, I find all my moving violations, but no arrests. I have 2 arrests in the past 15 years (one only 3 years ago) for solicitation. Neither of them appear in any search.

Civ, I love you, but I think your response can be easily misunderstood. We're talking about prostitution arrests and you throw this argument out that is only really applicable to misdemeanors.

Am I missing something?

I believe that the records does apply to misdemeanors. This is the way it works in California.

I counted no less than 13 SW on a trip up and down Pac Hwy a few days ago. All shapes, all size and all races except for the elusive ASW. No pick ups for me these days. Just a window shopper.

All my misdeameanor arrests are showing up. This particular website is only applicable to misdemeanors because those are the only cases heard in muni court. Superior court handles felony cases. I'm sure those stay on your record even longer. Only point I'm trying to make, is if someone trained in background checks (say Boeings personnel office) they are going to find out every single arrest or conviction you've ever had, no matter how old.

Not unless you have it expunged. I verified afterwards that my arrest indeed did not show up on a search and they assured me any employer background check would come up empty. You cannot of course expunge a conviction but arrest expungement requests are granted fairly easily. No reason not to.

Go thru Customs sometime and make a scene. Then when they pull your INTERPOL file you will see everything.

We are talking about 2 completely different things. I am talking about a prospective employer finding out about an arrest or someone who just happens to log into the Seattle Municipal site seeing your arrest. Having your record expunged removes the possibility of those things happening.

There is still a record of the expungement, but not the actual charge.

Your second point is correct employers or background check companies do not have access to FBI or Interpol info.

Could we get back to talking about streetwalker action?

I went out for a bit on Friday night and found an empty scene, nothing but police cruisers and completely empty streets, actually kind of eerie. It was as if a spaceship had landed and took all of our 'ho's without leaving any trace.

Maybe alien rehabilitation will do some of them some good?
