I used to post a similar response, but have now given up. In order for this great forum to thrive in the long run, we need to recruit and encourage new blood to come in and inject new perspectives and opinions. Sadly, there is no way to know if a newbie with one or two posts is only looking for a quick thrill or, instead, wants to make meaningful contributions to the board. We need to discourage the former and encourage the latter. A new guy probably does not have much useful information to share, but might be able to do so later. I would hate to see my first ten posts to the forum. They would probably draw the wrath of certain members today. However, at that time it was much easier to get information from the group than it is now. Time have changed and the world has become much more dangerous. We just have to use our best judgment in what we give out in information.
