The most common pattern is you hand over the money. There's a knock on the door. Dude walks in and invites you to bounce. I just leave. $100 is not worth fighting over, to me. Or escalating further.

Imagine you call the cops. And they come visit, then start checking out the security cameras nearby and see your smiling face as you entered the property on your way in.
