But I always plan to potentially leave unhappy and with less cash. I pay them for their time even if nothing 'exciting' happens. I do this mostly because I called and asked to arrange the time. Now when it happened to me I did not think it was worth it at all, but still she booked the time so I left a donation for that. We didn't discuss it prior. No judgement here, but about 100% of the providers expect something, even if it is a little and even if it is totally not worth it. Otherwise the endless drama can cost more then some cash.

The funny thing is that I believe that some providers think that their time talking to you about their endless problems is some kind of service they are offering you. Like if she drones on for 2 hours about her problems, well in her mind it should cost you 2 hours. Like some kind of crazy reverse psychiatrist visit. Once a provider gets past 5 minutes of that crap I try to explain to her that she is literally killing my hardon. I've actually gotten into arguments because of that, which is kind of funny.

It would be nice if more providers did a meet & greet with mongers.

Both their time and ours is valuable, and I feel it would benefit both.

It determines if both parties get along, ensure hygiene, overall health, timelines, rules etc.

I'm myself would be ok with a small fee if they asked, asking as it is within reason.

Just some random thoughts on the subject.

A lot of good comments and good points. I appreciate them all. After reading each at least twice and considering them all, I still believe Dude owes nothing for the provider's time if the information is correct and it was agreed there was no fee for the meet and greet (or it was never discussed). Of course he is always free to donate but the provider has no right to expect that or complain about it or take vengeful action. If during the meet and greet any rates were discussed then I think he owes that amount for the BJ and should chalk it up to a bad experience like others have suggested. If no rates were ever discussed until after Dude walked out the door I believe he owes nothing but I do agree that it probably would have been a good idea (but not mandatory) for Dude to pay something for the actual sexual service he received.

Some replies discuss the business aspects and tend to make the case for Dude paying something. I say communication is a part of business and if the provider does not clearly communicate expectations regarding payment, and waits until the customer leaves, then they bear the burden and no payment is owed or should be expected. Now it may be a good idea for the customer to offer some kind of payment to lessen any hard feelings or ill effects but let's not confuse that with what is actually owed in a business sense.

I was reading the replies and I appreciate every one. As some have shown agreement and of course others have semi agreed pointing out what should have been obvious to me before. There was some sort of transaction that was not paid for. Whether it was wanted or enjoyed is irrelevent. I will think on that one. As you can see in the original post, I did not give the said providers name. I'm not going to put that on public display. I made a mistake of posting too much info previously and I did not want to make that mistake. And I feel that's just too rude anyway. However PM if you want to know and I will gladly tell seniors. Many have PM'ed asking already.
