Lotus closing 10.2. 19, all the girls are moving to splash.
There are clear factions operating within NB: Evergreen / Camelot, Ashley's, and Splash; each bringing with them their own crowd. Although this seems natural (given the Kapiolani bar closing situation), management's job is to unite the factions under the NB brand or there will be beaucoup problems soon, IMO. Additionally, KBG splinter groups (with no ties to NB management) are starting to slowly arrive. The claymore (anti-personnel, directional, clacker) mine going go off and wonder who going start 'um.
Anyway, the place not anything special because the KBGs making others feel uncomfortable by bringing the KBs they were working at, along with their LVBs, to NB.
With all of these town bars closing, there is not really too many bars they can spread around. So most of them stay as group to work at a place they comfortable at.
Bad news for the LVBs, old hags they have been seeing from another bar now work at the same bar with their new love.
Lots of back stabbing going on, shit talking among girls. You take my customers and I take your. Haha, it is like soap opera everyday.

I'm not real familiar with this thread but is there any action in that complex with Diners?
I'm not real familiar with this thread but is there any action in that complex with Diners?
My friend use to go to a bar that was closer to Diner's for some action, but I think the place has closed down and I do not remember the name of the place. I heard that Waterfall provides some action, but the ladies are on the older side if you are into that.

The LVBs need to have the same attitude with their DKBGs, and vice versa. Everybody start from scratch and start dreaming / dreading anew.
Have to admit, it is funny to see the LVBs and their DKBGs discover their other "KB significant other" in one odda place. Even more hilarious to see the customa tug-o-war, confusion, and dramas. More to come.
Ok so sorry stupid question but what does NB stand for and where is it located? Sorry, not from Oahu.
Ok so sorry stupid question but what does NB stand for and where is it located? Sorry, not from Oahu.
NB is a bar called New Business, one of the more popular bars in town, newly renovated and quite an interesting place.
New Business is where Business used to be. In between Kapiolani and Makaloa St.
Ok so sorry stupid question but what does NB stand for and where is it located? Sorry, not from Oahu.
.
What does NB stand for and where is it located?
Google Maps / Yelp / Search for Butterfly Lounge; defunct KB and former site of the now New Business (NB). Located at the boundaries of Kapiolani/Makaloa/Sheridan Streets; two liquor service bars, one sushi bar within.
Lotus closing 10.2. 19, all the girls are moving to splash.
They may be closing soon, but it appears that the KB scene is still alive and well. Super packed last night at around midnite. No space available at bar. Tables full. A mix of old, middle age, and young customers. Must be doing something right. Jade was looking pretty good behind the bar.
GG.
Thru the KBG wireless, Kalihi Station will have new mana-Sunny mama sometime within the next couple of weeks.
Thru the KBG wireless, Kalihi Station will have new mana-Sunny mama sometime within the next couple of weeks.
Which Sunny is this?
Haven't been to town lately. Has anyone taken over Ashleys?
Which Sunny is this?
Mama from Club Arisu in Kalihi. Previously she was bartender at Club Damour in Kapiolani.
For those who care (Ainokea) Hot Spot is closing after today, 10/14; reopening somewhere Kona St. Twilight opening at the old Casa Uno / Ashley's now 10/25-26 (some legal problems between Ashley and landlords of the site). It's anyone's guess as to how the KB changes will eventually affect the area, but business has certainly not gotten any better; just the displaced KB goers trying to find new KBs to hangout. So far, NB is the new gathering place for the displaced KB goers, LVBs, and the gypsies (you read right). As always, in the case of KBs and KBGs, anything can happen/change at anytime.
I was curious about Happy Hour times and prices so tried to call and ask. They aren't on Yelp or Google maps so I couldn't get a phone number. Decided to walk over and ask. At 3 pm there were 4 guys sitting alone at tables and 6 at the bar. No greeting when I walked in. Mama was putting on makeup. I walked up to her end of the bar and asked her about Happy Hour. She only said yes. I asked her the time, she said one. I asked her the price of a beer, she said $3. She did not volunteer any info or offer a menu. Still putting on makeup. My buddy and I will not be coming here.
No hospitality like the old days. That is one of the reasons drinkers are losing interest of going to bar. Another reason is you have to put up with BGs BS.

More worse now; no wonder nobody spend money anymore. I get new mindset nowadays: just go drink and no let anything or anybody bother me (because get plenty other places to drink and eat). If get, get; if no more, no more. Que sera sera.

Actually, it's the stigma of their occupation (in their own culture) as KBGs that make them put up a defensive front. But guess what? The stigma prevails as evidenced by the rude and crude behaviors of KBGs. I just go there for the ridiculous dramas and performances of KBG emotional, mental, and egotistical disturbances (the LVBs are fun to watch, too). Just laugh, shake your head, and go home.

I just went to Sunflower with some friends to watch UH Football this evening and there was no young girls to be found. I was also looking at the pupu menu and they are charging $10 for Vienna sausage and $15 for spam and egg sandwiches. It is much better to eat at home these days and then go out to the bars.

The KBG bartenders reserve all seats at the counter for the games starting early evening (3-4 PM); nobody there or when reserve the seats. They make self-reserve for those who spend (e.g. , Cottage Cheese Tiffany: "We reserve all the seats for our customas; get plenny guys who only spend little bit so we want our customas to sit here. "), kiss their eong deong ee, or be their zombie followers. Anyway, the KBGs there to make money, not break even or lose money.
Noticing quite a few outstanding LVBs visiting NBusiness. This must be da place.
I believe most of the bars in Kalihi will open.
Thanks for 411. Much mahalos!
Rumored opening on November 11 at former spot, Sheridan Street. Defunct Twilight was supposed to open at this venue, October 25-26, but you know how that goes (anything can happen).
Personally can't see the reasoning (going forward) for this move given the current KB climate, but welcome the addition of another place to go due to continuing poor attitude and service of existing Kapiolani KBs / KBGs. Football season, machine players, and LVBs no last forever (and the smart play is to open one local style bar, like Billion Pocha).
Don't know if that is good or bad. But one thing for sure it is not going to help the downturn of KBs. Big spenders are long gone, either they are dead or dried up. Nickels and dimes spenders still hanging around, but KGBs are not going to waste their time on them.
Another possible problem will arise soon when Dillingham start their relocation project in Janauray 2020. Kalihi 5 plex will be the most affected.

The reasons: (1) Arrogance: the KBGs think they're the customers and the real customers are their dogs; (2) machines are set on "tight" by greedy K machine operators; (3) KBGs are like locusts that wipeout fertile areas and move on to destroy the next; (4) LVBs are broke and can only buy one or two nekos (with plenty lip service that no one wants to hear) and leave within 20-30 minutes; (5) KBGs getting desperate but still have a few suckers out there to suck blood.
KBGs still taking their long vacations. Can you afford it? If no can, tells you something, doesn't it? Hint: they get sponsors.
The customers are supposed to be in charge; we get what they want: money for something. Therefore, quid pro quo: a favor or advantage granted or expected in return for something. The KBs and KBGs supposed to offer first; we bargain, take, compensate, or forget it. Period.
Wow the front bar has Guiness on tap now. Brilliant! Happy hour $4/ pint. Pretty good deal. Most pubs cost twice that. Just got to get the daytime bartenders to bring corned beef and cabbage!
Hapa-Viet Ashley (formerly at Butterly / Summit / Chill with TC) is working the early bar Wed / Thu and floor other nights except Sun / Mon. Hadn't seen her in years. She's a bit more friendly now than I remembered.
GG.
The bar next to Akasaka Restaurant had something happen Tuesday night. Saw a bunch of cop cars and a cop going inside with some dude.
I don't miss going to the bar these days, only thing I miss is honey Fox soft lips. BTW, any Fox sighting lately? Last time I saw her was at Starlite.
Splash used to be good in its hay days. Where big spenders dump bus load of money there nitely. Pretty girls every where and good pupus.

Is Michelle still at Starlite? If I got the name of the bar wrong, I'm thinking of the former Cheers Station.

Ok so Mahalo to everyone who answered my question. I checked this place out but its like impossible to get the attention of any of the girls. Maybe cause I'm not from here and nobody recognized me and didn't know if I would spend $$. Sat at what I guess is the main bar, the one without the sushi bar on it, and was trying to wave over the girls who were sitting all in that booth close to the door doing nothing but nobody bothered to come over. Even asked the bartender about the girls and didn't really get any help. Anyone got any advice on how it works here on Oahu or am I missing something?
Also noticed a girl in there who just recently worked in a Maui bar but couldn't get her attention either. Some body help me out!!
