I was on call for work so I was not drinking, so I just asked for water. Then was approached by the dancer, just as she came to take me to the back a waitress stopped her and told me it was "drink or leave since there was no cover." So it didn't matter I had dropped around $50 already tipping and was about to do 2-3 songs in the back, I had to leave. Bad business.

Also there are lots of people who do not drink at all who frequent the clubs because they want what we all want. Most end up I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) paying alcohol price for non-alcohol drinks. I am surprised that that solution was not offered.

Southern One[/QUOTE]I am one of those non-drinkers and usually get water and usually pay anywhere from $3. 00 to $4. 50 for a bottle. Guess that is how they make the money since they are paying 25 cents or less per bottle when buying it by the case.
Its funny that in every club where I've been a customer. When you are tipping at the stage. No other dancer will approach you for dances (or tips in many clubs). Everybody respects the dancer's territory when she is on stage. I know for a fact that at Hollywood, I've never been hassled for a drink when at the rail, but once you get up from there, they flock to you like rats on a meat truck even if you're in the process of buying a bed dance. Cut me some slack. I've never tried to get by with just ordering water. The soft drinks will keep them away usually, and they never seem to keep track of whether you've had one or two drinks. So the two drink minimum is rarely enforced.
Started out at MK's. Kept my distance from Kitanna. Saw Ashley, Teddie, Ice, Candy, Sam and about 5 others. Sam said that they had 16! Girls there yesterday. Sam is PHAT! She has a 5 month old and hasn't dropped any of the baby weight. Passed on privates and hit C-Mowes. Mistake there as well. Nothing too exciting drank my beer and hit Dollies. Dollies cracks me up. 12 to 13 girls and all of them offering anything and everything. Lauren started out at. 5 for oral but went quickly down to. 4 Candy wanted me to get anywhere from. 6-$ depending on what I wanted. I would be more tempted to do something there if the private area was as private as Blondies. I will probably go back in a couple of weeks to check it out again. That is real bad Bidness. I am border line Diabetic and am suppose to stay away from alcohol and soda.

Bad business.[/QUOTE]I agree that this isn't a way to treat people if you want them to return. I guess they need to draw a line somewhere if there is no cover charge, but that seems crazy. Seems the clubs make money every time U-turn around. The girls pay the club to dance there, then they pay them a percentage of the private dances, and then they also tip to DJ. I guess the bartender and waitress are the ones who are stiffed if you are not buying any drinks, so that's why it was the waitress who told you to buy a drink or go. If I were in a snotty mood, I probably would have bought the least expensive thing they offered and then not left any tip. From the club's and the dancer's perspective, they need to be able to ask people to leave if they are taking up space and spending nothing. They can't make you tip the dancers but they can make you order a drink or two. Hollywood is the primo spot for dancers and the girls who dance there probably take home more per night than they would at any of the other clubs. I guess they aren't really feeling the pressure to make any changes.
During the day shift the waitresses and bartenders are not too bad about the drink requirement UNLESS the owner is around. It is the owner, usually simply referred to as "Bob", that pushing them to strictly enforce the "drink or leave" rule. If the waitresses don't push it then they get yelled at and in trouble with Bob if he is around. He will sometimes come over and tell you to get the hell out of his club himself if you aren't buying drinks.

She was working it hard at the stage and I'm sure that it would have been about a 5 min job.

I only went there once. I was a lot younger and didn't know what to expect. The girls would hustle you for drinks as soon as you walked in the door. If you bought them one, they would down it immediately and ask for another. Then, as soon as you finished your drink, you had to buy another or they would ask you to leave. It had the desired effect on me. I left and never went back.

I did a drive by of C Mowes, only 2 cars on the lot looked very slow so I passed, across the street Wise Guy's was very slim as well. I decided to try Blondies as I know a couple of the dancers but it was very slow as well and the ladies seemed more interested in talking with each other. After on e B / L I left and went to Dollies. But there are times when I seem to get those who don't take no for an answer. And it does his a raw nerve. I have a bunch of pet peeves, too many to list. I once was cornered by a girl who would not take a "Thank you, No"! So I excused myself to go to the restroom, when I was finished I walked to the bar to get a beer then sat down at another table with a different girl.
It's not the drink that is the problem, they aren't asking 40 or 50 for a coke like someplaces. It's where they block you from the girls you want to talk to. I went to the party last Thursday and probably saw a bunch of you there. I had a great time.
There were 16 dancers and I tried to get with as many as I could.
I ended up feeling no pain and went to the stage with Jazz. She cracked me up. Quite a character.
