So, I just went back to look and there is nothing in my AM account info that is worth anything. No name, address or credit card info. And the email address attached is my blind Juno, which back in the day I got without attaching any personal information.

So, I know they hacked something like 36 million members info. I just don't know what anyone can do with what I had on there.

That said, there does seem to be some credit card info hacked. That could suck, but, truth is, when you pay by credit card it comes up as some obscure name, anyway, not the name of the company.

It's the case from a few years ago (which, strangely, got little national attention) where cops in Deming, NM decided they were going to fuck with a guy by medically searching his anal cavity for no particular reason other than a 'hunch' he had drugs stashed up there. Not only that, they went up inside him for a colonoscopy. And it was all perfectly legal, with a judge and the Dist Atty backing them up. The cops found nothing and the ACLU sued, quickly getting everything they asked for ($1. 6 million). But no one involved lost their job or was even disciplined.

The authorities want you to believe that this was an aberration. While it might have been extreme, all cops do shit close to it on a regular and daily basis, and it all depends simply on their mood and how belligerent you are to them. David Eckert was belligerent (he exercised his 'rights', kept his mouth shut, and did not consent to a car search) and look what happened to him. The only reason he got a big settlement was because the cops made a bunch of mistakes. If they hadn't, Eckert would not only have had a sore butt, but a nice $6,000 bill to pay for his court-ordered colonoscopy.
