The few times I have tried to talk a provider out of her requested amount it has not turned out well for me and without exception.

I learned to avoid that practice. If I want to see them at their price I let them know. Otherwise I pass them by. Generally, I have gotten good service by following this alternate practice.

Since people and experiences are unique price comparisons aren't really relevant.

I will be in Charlotte for a 3 days next week and have invested some time to RTFF and have not been able to decide on a therapists. Girl asks the guy what was he willing to (or how much he had to).

Guy replies he is willing to spend $yy amount. This is not a counter offer because he was specifically asked what he could / would spend. She asked and he answered.

Girl replies "ok" to the amount that he responded to her question. Plain and simple, he told her what his budget was and she was interested in his financial offering for her services. If she was not interested or willing to provide the same level of service, then she should either not made the offer to do it or let the guy know that services (and in this case, attitude) would be different. It was her choice to see him or not see him for the amount for which she "okayed". If she intended on doing less, it would have been professional of her to let him know this up front. The guy shouldn't have to assume that because she said yes to a lower donation that he would get less.
