I checked Rubmaps today and noticed it says both Plus Spa and Kings Massage have closed. So I called, and it turns out both establishments remain open for business! I'd been wondering if Joyy is still working at Plus. Whoever answered the phone, when I asked this question, first she said no. Then she sort of changed her answer and said Joyy is on vacation, but no idea when she'll be back. So, who knows about Joyy or her whereabouts! Also I wonder what other shops remain open which Rubmaps is claiming closed down. I only called the two AMPs which I happen to have a personal interest in.

The market always corrects itself but it takes patience and time.

There are less cases in Thailand than the US at this point and things seem to be getting worse here compared to there. I'm not worried about the virus myself, but shit has people in a panic here. I would love to get away from this ridiculousness.
In any case, I'm actually looking to travel more due to this outbreak, I see opportunities for cheap flights coming. I normally use points to fly business class internationally, but if travel starts getting impacted and dips some more, I might buy a few tickets with cash and bank those points for later.

No record for future entry. Free flight to Thai" when more than 100 K Thai illegal residence in Korea try to find flight to Thai. 100 K Thais or more from Korea is going to Thai.

I guess my only comment is: is the reason that Thailand has less cases than the USA due to the fact that they have less stringent test standards? In other words, Thailand may have just as many cases but they just aren't being detected or reported in compliance with as strict policies as the USA. I guess you'll be the first to know. So I would surmise that the true rate of virus per capita is much higher in Thailand than in the USA.
The point being that the idea that is safer to monger in Thailand than here is probably buying into a false sense of security.

The kingdom had a huge hit in tourism due to SARS, so they had some plans in place for a situation like this. I would trust the government response there more than the incompetent leadership we have locally here in Hawaii. There isn't any indication that the actual number of cases is much higher than reported at all. I think people are just in a panic over this right now, honestly, but we can all have different opinions. I'm not a doctor or virologist, but I would assume that no one in this conversation is either. I don't think spreading false information helps either, everything from both sides here is just speculation. The actual numbers reported to the WHO are still extremely low in Thailand. Those are the facts that we have.
Pattaya is devoid of Chinese tourists right now so I'm happy about that and going to enjoy my trip. Getting away from seeing all the people here panic buying toilet paper and bottled water will be nice as well. If I get sick, I'll post up while I'm in quarantine and you guys can say you told me so, but again, at the moment, I have no concerns about heading there.
