That thread looks a little shaky
Interesting conversation going on in other forum.

I was told vadc and he got some inside info. Careful out there.
If you read through the whole thing you can see VADC taking flak from more established members and a lot of bickering back and forth about who is more trustworthy.
My big problem is this: If you really have "inside info" about a pending LE operation, why not disclose every detail you can that doesn't burn your source? For example, why not name the "well known site in va" that's going to be used? And why limit important safety information only to "members I can trust" via PM?
It's also unclear, at least to me, what he means by the "st" (State Troopers?) and "na" abbreviations. Perhaps he thinks the meaning should be obvious, but the lack of clarity doesn't help make his case.
It looks like VADC has 15 posts on that other site. I'm not a member so I can't read any of them. Maybe someone who is an established member of both boards can check them out and give their opinion as to whether this guy has any board cred.
In the meantime, good hobby-sense and thinking with the big head are always good ways to keep safe. With less access to reliable reviews and Intel, it's even more important to do good research and resist the urge to impulse shop. Any brand new provider ad (s) on any website should be viewed with suspicion. Stick with the tried and true and use this forum to tap into the collective wisdom of the community.
Here's a simple question: Why not name the site?
It appears that you been around for while. I am sure you know who established members (providers who been around forever and mod) are. I am pretty sure you know which well known site is. If not, you should be ok since you have no chance to get entrapment. Just surprised that SM can't see what happened. Two things for me, I will stick to once I know and hope that site owners don't surrender member info.
From the way you're defending the post on the other forum, and from your writing style, I'm guessing you and VADC are the same. But, even if not, you seem to be claiming the same level of knowledge.
So, if I understand correctly, here's what you / VADC are claiming:
1. A major LE operation will happen in Virginia in the near future.
2. It will be statewide.
3. It will involve a well-known hobby site.
4. Users of that site will be, or perhaps already are, at risk.
5. You and VADC, through access to inside information, know the name of the site.
So my question is, why not name the site? That would be the simplest and most effective way to warn the hobby community, wouldn't It? If there's some reason why you can't name the site, or won't, please explain.
I would advise always assuming LEO is watching.
OK - *if* (and by no means this is a given) there is an operation of some kind coming, then how would this work?
I seriously doubt people are going to get identified from postings and targeted individually. More likely, this would involve some kind of boots on the ground action, with the hobby board providing supporting information.
"Users of the site may already be at risk" - ummh, I'm not sure how that would work. Unless you were posting illegal material, or offering very detailed specific information about criminal activity, I don't see how you could be targeted.
As always, be safe. I am curious as to what this is about, but I am not sure that this is something to be extremely worried about. Feel free to PM me with more details if you have it.
