I went to Romantei a bit early (around 10: 30 pm), so that may be why I saw hardly any girls. I did see the balloons but there was no one there of interest. Headed over to Sky a bit later and there were maybe 3-5 girls working. One said her name was Tracey and she was pretty hot but she was working on an older customer and apologized and said that she couldn't sit with my friend. Overall a poor night at the VBs. I'll have to check out Romatei later in the evening if the talent shows up later.

For some reason, it seems like Thursday and Friday are the nights when the girls are working.
On Saturday, I went by Electros, Business, Casino, Camelot, and Evergreen. Peeked in Sky Lounge and Romantei. All were slow, or in Camelot's case, closed.
In contrast, on Friday night, I was in Electro, Sky Lounge, Secret, Camelot, Romantei, and SP III. Electro, Camelot, Romantei were all very busy. Sky Lounge and Secret were dead. SP III was busy after 2 AM, but not packed as in years past.

Romantei is for the downstairs crowd, with a lot of guys that can't spend a lot. So, most of the girls quit and went to work for Lan at Romantei, because the number of customers is larger.

Makes sense to go to where the larger customer pool is but I don't know how you cater to Upstairs Crowd when the place is kind of looking dead and worn down. Plus with all the girls leaving hard to keep the upstairs crowd around before they go to other places.

The smart girls know that a lot of customers equals a good night, even if they only buy one or two drinks per customer. The smart ones want customers to come back and become their regulars. A good bar owner will set the conditions so that this occurs. Good sales experience shows that for every 20 approaches, you get 1 or 2 hits; more if you're popular and the guys can see that you're popular and friendly.
Jackie has never really worked in a bar (other than for Lyna), so she doesn't have the experience of being a hostess having to hustle drinks or running a bar.

Club Asia (nka Sky Lounge) (found guilty on two counts and not guilty on one count) was fined a total of $1, 000 for two violations of Rule 3-84-78. 01(be)(licensee’s employee consumed liquor while on duty at the licensed premises), found guilty and fined $1, 000 for violation of Rule 3-84-79. 1 (interfering with investigations or Commission operations), pled no contest and was fined a total of $6, 000 for three violations of Rule 3-84-78. 042 (fondling), pled no contest and was fined $1, 000 for violation of Rule 3-82-38. 5(a) (nonregistered employee), and pled no contest and was fined a total of $3, 000 for three violations of Rule 3-82-38. 4(be) (time card). In addition, the Commission placed the licensee on a three-month probation and required the licensee to appear before the Commission and provide a report at the conclusion of the probation.

Stopped by Secret last week. Only had 3 or so girls working. Sat in the corner with Lin I think her name was. Was drinking earlier so was just in the mood for some play. Well long story short, 4 drinks for lotsa play, but no 'boom boom'. ;)
I've noticed some familiar faces from By Nite, Sky, and Romantei are now roaming Sandy and Jen's. The girls on the move again?
Don't know if Kathy's in Kalihi is a thai or viet bar, but they are having a grand opening next week. Stopped by last week during the afternoon, and its the same setup with the pool tables and all. A couple of the same girls from before were there. There were a couple younger girls there that I didn't see before, so guess theres more that come in later at night. Hmmm...wonder if Maya, the pretty bartender from before, is going to work again.
How did you get all this info? I heard Romantei is having their hearing this week. Any info? Cus they been raided a lot this year for prostitution and illegal immigrant.
