Crazy thing was the backstory was on point, a solid enough fb profile and even linkedin pointed to a business that lined up with the background. At first I thought the fastpeoplesearch phone search was outdated. But then I noticed a different person had been using the number on telegram. That's why I think it was more of a catfish than scammer. When they refused to send a selfie, that was that.

You could have asked if she had ever traveled and if so where.

I won't go into every detail but the story was consistent and there was corroborating evidence. That information about hiking in Chile was volunteered, it's the same woman in all the pics but not behind the keyboard. Usually scammers are lazy af that's why I think this is a catfish. I confronted "her" and she wouldn't provide a selfie with my name on a piece of paper. A 30 yo woman afraid of a selfie? Come on.

This one hit me up today, says she needs money for rent asap, willing to meet tomorrow and says she can host. Initially asked for 1 k but dropped immediately to 500 and would probably go lower.
