They even said it on TV, that they don't use HPD officers, cause they were dissatisfied with them, and they are using Special Investigators that work directly for the Prosecutors office.

Last I checked City and County of Honolulu Prosecutors office is a 4 year term and the next election is 2020. Hmmm. He's not getting my vote! LOL.

Even when they are there for busts its usually for presence or muscle if needed. CID and CRU need to lay low right now with the trials, they need to stay out of anything that could look politically motivated. And being that they haven't been present in itself proved its politics. Ever since Kaneshiro burned Vice with all those bogus charges that had to be dropped they too want nothing to do with it.

Charges are only charges, we have seen this before and it means nothing until a Judge says there is enough for a trial.

Keep in mind that the current elected Prosecuting Attorney is on leave and pending impeachment. His acting Deputy is not elected, so whatever his motives are remains unclear. But if I were a betting man, this is an easy exercise in making it look like you are doing something while the heat is on his office. Also to note, that about 9000 convictions are currently under review by the FBI. One must also mention that the last several raids have not included DHS / ICE, which screams political smoke screen.

If no girls are arrested, charged and indicted on prostitution in a workplace, how can the owner be convicted of promoting? Wouldn't they need to prove one to prove the other? Watch what the gov does with this bill to limit law enforcement (police, prosecutors, etc) from just taking seized property including cash whether the defendants cases are dismissed or not guilty.
