Not trying to generate an argument here. I've decided to post about this topic mainly because I'm really curious what opinion other guys have on this subject. It's my impression many women are convinced they need to grow their fingernails long, or else wear fake glued-on long fingernails, as an important facet of their being able to look sexy and stylish. In fact, recently I was watching a YouTube podcast where the interview guest, a semi-well-known TV celeb, practically insisted the show host compliment her for how sexy her long fingernails looked! The guy then agreed her fingernails were sexy, but I was wondering if the dude actually believed the chick's hideous black claws were attractive, or was he just trying to go along to get along. Anyway, here's my view on women's fingernails: To me, if a woman is sporting long fingernails, I pretty much immediately discount her as someone I'd be interested in having sex with, for the simple reality she's freaking got dangerous weapons on the tips of her fingers and could scratch the crap out of me in bed! An important part of intimacy is being caressed and touched, and Ms Long Fingernails is a write-off in this department IMV. I mean, if all she wants to do is bend over for doggie than fine. Just so she keeps those finger-knives away from me and my dick. Other guys must have arrived at a similar conclusion; am I right about this? If so, how is it that a bunch of women have managed to convince themselves long fingernails are seen as sexy by men? Or are these women so out of touch with heterosexuality that they are competing with other women, and care more about how other women perceive their looks and style than they do about what straight guys actually desire in a woman? Just saying.

It should be remembered however that we all are subjected to a constant daily barrage of marketing designed to convince us to purchase whatever it is they are hawking. Women, in particular, are especially sensitive to how they should look in order to be considered attractive and therefore they are the ideal target of manipulation for commercial purposes. Not so long ago the focus was on ridiculously expensive handbags, now it's elaborately decorated and lengthened fingernails. Who knows what it will be in the future.
