For me it felt more like a FWB arrangement of sorts where I provided an allowance. But a lot of that depends on the SB. I found it best when establishing arrangements with those that are new to it all and those that are just looking for one SD to see. Seeing a pro most of the time is too formal and down to business. I never felt that way when I was with a SB. As for the rules, that depends on the SD. If done right you set the terms / rules, they either accept them or not.
