A Friday night will be a whole different experience. Your prices accepted will be higher at HK and likely Adelitas. Streetgirl quality will go way up. Your feeling of risk may go up slightly. She spoke good enough English that I didn't have to use any of my terrible Spanish to speak to her. She was also very playful and flirtatious. At this point, I had to call an audible and simple the local flavor. She threw out $100 initially, I countered with 60, then she said 70 so up I went. I paid 19 for the room, which was a little higher than I have read on threads here in the past but, other than that, I was satisfied with the experience. I don't remember her name, I apologize for that.

Afterwards, it was onto the next one, which happened to be adelitas. I walked in and, in my opinion, the girls were maybe 1-1. 5 points below HK. The girls in HK were 8-9 average and the adelitas girls were 6. 5- 8, both on a scale of 1-10. I got a beer after walking in and sat down to take it all in. I will say the girls were a lot friendlier and outgoing here than HK. In HK, most of the women stood to the side without looking at me but in Adelitas the women started talking to me or waving as soon as I walked in. I will admit I wasnt in HK for very long though so who knows what would have happened if I had stayed longer.

Anyway, after sitting down, one woman walked up to me immediately. She was a 7-8 in my book, great body, but looked a little younger than I like. She was very flirtatious and straightforward. I was a little standoffish, mostly because I was still new to it all but she called me out on it and proceeded to grab my hands and place them over all the areas of high interest. She also took the time to shake hands with mini-me while we sat there. Less than 2 minutes later, another one walked up, I think her name was Michelle or something similar, and she sat on my lap and introduced herself. After some light conversation and flirting, she started to give me a nice lap dance so I bought her a drink. From there, she danced more, we talked more, she had no problems with my hands roaming, and it turned out to be a nice conversation but I wasnt really interested. Had I not gone up with the one in HK, I probably would have went with her. Actually, I probably would have went with the first one too. Of note, Michelle did constantly ask for tips as she danced. When I was done with my drink, I said bye to her and left. There were 20-30 girls and maybe 5-7 guys the whole time I was in adelitas.

From there, a guy outside caught me and told me I should go to Chicago. I have read a lot about it in here so I was a little hesitant but decided to go so I could see for myself. I walked up, they offered me a free shot of tequila, which I refused, and I went in. There were maybe 3 guys and around 20 girls went I went in but they were all pretty standoffish. None really even made eye contact with me. I decided to just get a beer and stay until I was done with it just to get a fair assessment of the place. After sitting down, one of the women walked up, said hi, and introduced herself in Spanish. Up until this point, everyone I had spoken to spoke good enough english so I didn't have to speak much Spanish at all. This one, named Gracia I believe, spoke no english. Even though she spoke no English, I had the best connection with her out of all the women I spoke to while I was in the Zona. I ordered her a drink and we powered through a conversation where I stumbled through Spanish and gestures and she spoke really slowly at times in order for us to understand each other. Through it all she was extremely patient and it turned out to be one of the funnier and more interesting interactions I have had with a person in a long time. Eventually we got to the negotiations, she wanted 1400 pesos, I countered with 1000 and she accepted. The room was $15. Afterwards we went back to the club, and had even more intimate convo where she told me more about her personal life and even her real name, so she said. Gracia is her stage name. After saying our goodbyes, I walked to Tropical Bar to check it out.

Tropical bar had about 10 girls and maybe one other guy but the talent was not the same level as the previous three bars. They weren't bad though. I only spent about 2 minutes there before walking out to take a tour around the block and scope out the action on the streets. I walked in the alley behind HK and there were a lot of SG out in all shapes and sizes. I didn't want to partake so I went back around the block to get a cab back to the border. As I was walking toward the cab, the doorman for La Gloria caught my attention and said I should check it out. I figured I might as well so I walked in and walked out less than 15 seconds later. The women were a little bigger, not as good looking and I was on a tight timeline to get back anyway.

I walked up to the cab, asked the driver to go to the border and off we went. It took maybe 10 minutes of standing in line at Ped West before I got to the desk. They checked my passport and waved me through. From there I just walked to my car and left.

Overall, it took about 4 hours from the time I left my door to get back to the door. The whole visit was pretty painless and easy. Everyone that I interacted with was extremely helpful and at no point did I feel unsafe. I have wasted a lot of money doing my business in the San Diego area. If I had known how easy it was, I would have saved all of it and come to the zona at least once a month.

In my opinion, HK had the best women but adelitas and Chicago weren't too far behind. I'm a man who really likes variety so I could see myself going to all of those places, even La Gloria, just depends on my flavor of the day.

I have to go on a Friday or Saturday night just to see how crazy it is one of these days. Next time I'll just be a little more choosy with who I buy drinks for but I still had a great time.[/QUOTE]

I have been visiting the Zona on Fridays and weekends. There is more SG's out naturally. Personally I have not seen much Ratero activity in the Zona this year. So long as you stay in main part of the Zona things are fairly safe. Although I would use more caution on south of the alley area on Constitucion on Primera at night. There is much less lighting and people as well. The key in Tijuana is to always look to see who is behind you. So just use due caution.

I can't tell people to avoid but its similar to coahulia from Constitucion to Revo. If you get choked out and robbed, I won't be surprised at all. At night that is, during the day you're fine. The last few days I've made early runs, there were a few decent alley girls but I've had one on WhatsApp for about 12-16 months. She will do FS for 250 pesos and I throw her 500 pesos when we do anal. So, I'm pretty locked in when I get there.

Hey guys, I need some guidance. I am from TN which is in the bible belt and not nearly as fun as where you guys live. I am going to LA for business for a week in January. After I finish with my business, I want to check out TJ but want to make sure I stay safe. I will more than likely just stay at the hotel at HK for a couple of days and not wander too far from there. My questions are:

Cheapest / Best way to get from LA to the border? Looks like amtrak maybe?

Are there any food places within walking distance of Honk Kong?

Is it safe for me to just walk around the area near HK by myself in the day time?

There is some buses that the Mexicans take. They seem like very nice buses and they are fairly cheap. Another option is simply rent a car. Enterprise only $35 a day I believe. Yes the area around HK and the Zona is relatively safe. You should always look around and see who is behind you. There is bandito's at times in the Zona.

Amtrak to SD then the Trolly to the border. Walk across and then taxi to HK.

As for food, many street vendors and a few cafes worthy of you patronage.

In the daytime, you are good to wander a bit. At night, stay around HK and play.

So anyway, if you want to talk about the absolute cheapest. It actually is the good old greyhound bus, but I wouldn't recommend it. Amtrak is a good option, it's relatively cheap, relatively ontime and very safe. Once you get to Downtown SD (where our train station is), you can either Uber or if you want, take the Trolley (light rail) to the border.

Renting a car is good too, but you'll have to park at the border, kind of pain in the ass if you ask me. The area around the clubs is relatively safe.

The next morning, you can come back and get in a Lyft and it will take you north, airport / train station.

Have fun and always be alert.

I sometimes parked my car in the pay lot close to the border overnight but that was 12+ years ago.

Also, since the op did not mention that he knows: a passport is required.

I don't think I could tolerate 2+ days in Zona Norte. I'd want to venture out a bit.

If you stay at Cascadas on a Monday or Tuesday, buy the Hong Kong VIP card. Room rental at Cascadas is 80% off on those days and that will pretty much pay for the VIP card.

The block where Hong Kong sits seems relatively safe to me. Some say don't go on Ninos Heros, I think that Ninos Heros is marginally safe at the block where Hong Kong is; but no other block of Ninos Heros feels safe to me.

It's OK to cross the street to Tropical, but, don't go north of that block, except to get to Chicago Club on Constitution. I don't feel particularly safe just before Chicago club.

Don't go east of Constitution unless you are on Articulo 123 or further south.

Some say you should stay off of Constitution south of the alley. Many times I've walked south (up the hill) on Constitution to Articulo 123 (aka, Premeria), I've been fine. I've also enjoyed walking East on Articulo 123 to the arch and then along Revolution to the South. Just before you get to the arch is also a diagonal walking street to the south; I've enjoyed the places there.

I recommend getting cash from ATMs, I get good exchange rate and reimbursed ATM fees using my Fidelity ATM card; other people get the same with Schwab ATM cards. My favorite ATM is at HSBC bank on Revolution, 1 block south of the arch. That ATM is not available late at night. The ATM in the north lobby of Hong Kong will not allow withdrawals more than 3000 peso ($150).

If it looks unsafe, it probably is. Keep your head on a swivel. Enjoy.

I've read more concern recently about Ninos Heroes. I've always circled the Coahuila block and alley and have never had any incidents. It does feel a little less safe but no issues for me. There are some regular chicas over there but I've never selected one from there. I'm rethinking my full circle route. LOL. Trust your gut and as Horse said, if it feels unsafe, it probably is. Yes, AMTRAK and Greyhound bus are the cheapest and the main hit is time. If you go during work hour or holiday driving rush, you will not lose time but any other time the transfers will slow you. LA to Amtrak is a bit slow, then SD Amtrak is short jump to trolley. I woud say its the least stressful, but I love the train.

My first mugging was on NinoesHeros and Coahulia, just a few feet west of HK north entkrance. This is why I wavepeople off there. You're also a great deal more likely to have a Policia fuck with you at NH and the alley. Theres also sometimes kids who try to pickpocket when your hands are full with tacos. If you're trying to minimize risk, its an easy avoid as theres nothing there you need. Get a taco on Constitucion. The girls are sparse and the very low end of the spectrum. It has higher Narco activity as one of the few alley shootings was a “cuantos” guy, on that end, shot about 50 feet off NH and the alley (near Eduardo hotel, across from HK south entrance).

I told her I already said payment after (pagar despues servicio, even showed her the note in writing). I then showed her the money and told her that I would cancel if she insisted payment upfront. However, the manager said that is the best he can do. Otherwise they would call the police to resolve it.

Forced to accept it (threat from the manager) though not happy.

When I was walking outside, the manager talked to the security, who then told me that I could not go to the bar immediately, I had to wait for a couple hours, say, after 8 PM (want me to pay the entrance fee?

What the fuck? I am the victim and expect HK to handle it in a fair manner. But, now see what they did. This is how they treat their customers!

I went to HK many many times! Never experienced such an issue before. Ridiculous that I was forced to pay a ***** who did not provide the service. Ridiculous that they would not fuck tampons but they think the customers should! (I just quitted it when I sensed it with my finger! I paid $70 for nothing!

Personally I would take the Trolley to San Ysidro if you have time. There is some buses that go to Tijuana or San Ysidro from SD as well.

I take a backpack and a suitcase on the trolley every visit. Never had an issue. $2. 50 for trolley vs $30 for uber. The timing is close. I'll save $25, which is good money in Tijuana!

And, you can decompress after dealing with train and airtravel.

There was an older gentleman that was arguing with a few HK guys near the stairs in the middle. They were not dressed as meseros but based on the conversation, I assume they were management. At first, he admitted to taking video. Then he changed his story but wouldn't take his phone out. It got heated. They grabbed him and took him somewhere and said they were calling the policia. I'm not sure how it turned out. But they did ask him several times that he needs to delete the videos.

I would not chance it. They do frisk you and won't confiscate your phone. Someone told me they have some way to detect that. In any case, I see the allure of recording it. But maybe we're just best experiencing it.

There are signs in many places in HK warning of no imaging.

The clubs is monitored by many cameras on the ceiling and by security and meseors on the floors. If they find you imaging, they would send a security guy over to politely request you to delete. Guys have shown them empty folders and got away with it.

If you resist, they would likely escort you out of the club, take your camera, delete the images, call in policia for disorderly conduct, but I have never seen them beat up customers. The most they would do would be to ban you from the club, but they have short memories and likely forget in a few weeks.
