These countries are banking on VTOL capabilities to operate the planes on smaller carriers, also to hide and protect their assets away from obviously vulnerable airbases against preemptive strikes and operate out of high ways in case of war.

The F35 B put on a very impressive demo flight with VTOL, lots of hovering and low speed flights. Stealth features will help it evade first shots and strike long range hits against incoming threats. The smallest turning circle at low speed was about 5,000-feet diameter. It does not have the agility of the best dog fighters like F-22.

It's fantastic the airshow is right next door to Tijuana where we went for cold beers and hot girls after a day of hard work hehe.

Only thing between us and the beach was a nice pool and jacuzzi. Lots of clubs 1 block away. ATV rentals. Horse back rides on beach. Liquer store 1 block away. We took a trip to the Castillo del Diablo about 25 minutes away. Got loaded up and partied hard when we came back. Took her to airport Sunday morning.
