I was in the spaceship at 2001 once...with one 35'ish latina girl about 2 years ago. She implied that a lot more was available than there actually was. Unfortunately while it was an expensive mission, there was no lift-off and I was unable to get into the orbit that I hoped for at that time.

TAMPA - Hillsborough County soon will begin enforcing its strict ordinances governing adult businesses now that a federal appeals court has ruled the restrictions are constitutional.

County Attorney Renee Lee said the county does not yet have a timeframe for compliance.

"But we will make sure that these businesses comply with the law," she said.

The ruling from the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals means that dancers at bikini bars will have to stay 6 feet away from patrons, and the sale or consumption of alcohol will be prohibited at adult businesses.

Additionally, adult video stores would be prohibited from having private viewing booths and workers would have to pass a criminal background check before they are hired.

Attorney Scott D. Bergthold, who represented Hillsborough, said the court's decision held that the county government "acted reasonably" in adopting the ordinances.

"It demonstrates that local governments have the ability to effectively regulate such establishments to control their negative effects on the community," he said.

Luke Lirot, an attorney for adult businesses that sued the county to get the ordinances overturned, called the ruling disappointing, but said the fight is not over.

"It seems that our next step is arguing it before the U.S. Supreme Court," he said.

Imposing tight regulations is one way jurisdictions can attempt to control adult businesses after courts ruled cities or counties can't pass such restrictive zoning requirements that leave no place for the businesses to operate. The regulations don't outlaw the businesses, just stringently regulate them.

The rules have no effect on adult businesses in Temple Terrace, Plant City or Tampa. Tampa regulations allow nude dancing as long as no alcohol is served and dancers keep at least 6 feet away from patrons.

The county's legal battle began a year ago when Tootsies, Showgirls and Showgirls Men's Club, in unincorporated Hillsborough, filed a lawsuit after county commissioners adopted the new rules in 2006.

In part, the lawsuit argued that touching between scantily clad dancers and bar patrons, which is barred under the county regulations, is protected by the First Amendment.

County officials said they based the restrictive ordinances on a study showing the adult businesses had a detrimental impact on the surrounding community.

In court proceedings, Lirot argued the clubs in question did not have a significantly increased level of crime compared with other businesses.

He contended that he should at least be given a trial, a forum in which he could show that the methods in the county's research were faulty.

The feeling of safety we will have in knowing the clerk handing out change for peep movies at the adult book store was never convicted of felony DUI

ANother good side...maybe the new employee screening requirements will result in out of work mortgage loan officers being hired to make change at the peeps.

Its amazing the do's and dont's of society. There are so many other people doing worse things. But an establishment is an easy target and easy revenue for the government. I'm sure Luke Lirot is a great attorney and has some ideas to help move this right along in a more positive fashion.
What will happen in my opinion is these ladies will be offering alot more of a ala carte outside the establishment menu. Its the only way they are going to make ends meet.

I was going to post a more detailed comment regarding "take-out" at strip joints(which for some reason has been going on in the MP thread) but for now I'll just add this. I've occasionally tried to convince strippers to meet me outside their clubs with extremely limited success. In fact, my most notable sucesses were the legendary Rikki Moans and Tanga Sammie, both of whom I'd known long before I ever met them in their respective clubs. My most notable failure, was also a pretty legendary gal, namely Tia of Lipstixx, who I tried repeatedly to convince to come by my place and extend her GFE coming close a few times but never quite successfully.

In general however, when most dancers (or the decent looking ones at least) were having so many guys slipping fives and ones into their garters for simply giving them a sneak peak between their legs or a quick feel of their tits, 20's for a 3-4 minute grind on a clothed lap and $100-200 for 15 minutes in a "closed" cubicle with some big security guy hovering around the corner to keep the order, they weren't about to accept CL rates to go to some strange guy's house or hotel room for an hour and I wasn't about to pay the type of rates they would demand.

In just this past week I had a gorgeous BA girl come by my place and stay for a few hours for just a couple of bills and I've had another dancer from Vegas, who I had given my number to a long time earlier when I tried to talk her into moonlighting, text message me out of the blue in an apparent effort to drum up some business. Times are certainly changing. To the extent you're one of the people that are suffering and thus have less money to spend on the hobby, the price reductions and greater push for business by these gals is kind of a wash. However, if you have money to spend I don't think times have ever been better for mongering even if on the inside of club end things become more restricted. But then I've always thought there were better ways to spend my money than to go to these places.

Regarding remaining legal avenues for Lirot, it doesn't look good at all. This ruling came from the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, which is pretty high up there. The only higher court than that is the US Supreme Court. And with all the conservative justices that current and past Republican presidents have appointed (Roberts, Alito, Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas) it is questionable whther they'd even take the case let alone overturn the appeals court. BTW, out of the 7 out of 9 justices chosen by the Repubs, only 2 have turned out to be moderate or "liberal" (Souter and Stevens) and Stevens (88) likely won't make it past this next term (for that matter McCain is pretty old too). That makes it even more important that a Democratic president gets a turn at choosing the next replacement (unless you'd prefer an evangelical family values "hockey mom" or the guy who picked her to make the pick).

i also had the opportunity to see sammie outside of the tanga once. she was quite fun to spend time with. i wish she was still around. last i heard, she was at vegas next to the dog track on gandy but that was some time ago.

also had a chance to get with ronni who started at the tanga (when she was **** btw) and later moved to ys. had my first double dance there with her and her friend who was also dancing at the time. man, that was something to behold. we were going to duplicate it outside the club but never got the chance to. she moved to the carolinas, not sure which one, and we kind of lost touch.

Spend some time at the Library last week and discovered one Soul Sister in the daytime (12 - 8pm) and one Soul Sister in the evening who were happy to deliver to my hotel room.

In both cases you need to hook up outside of the club as the girls are not allowed to leave with a fella and they can not leave before the shift ends. Since many of the girls are only seeing $50 - $100 a night here in tips, another 100 roses is greatly appreciated.

No 10s here, but some of the girls are worth spending time with.... I could not find a single latin or white sister willing to deliver to my room.

Previously I had some luck at the Starlite with a tall white sister, but she disappeared as they often do.

Does anyone have night shift recommendations for mid-week or weekend nights? I'm going to be coming into town soon and I want to make sure that I'm spending my money wisely in the booths.

Went to Show Girls on SR 60 in Valrico on Monday about 3:30pm. I waited until 4:30 pm and there hadn't been any girls dancing. The place was dead. Is this typical?

Yeah, it is pretty typical or at least was similar to the couple of times when I've been there later in the afternoon and I can't imagine business has gotten any better since then with the way the economy has been going the last few weeks. When a place is completley dead or practically empty as it is during the day during the week when most guys with money to spend are busy at work, the girls don't always bother to go on stage just for the one or 2 customers but do at least socialize with the regular afternoon barflys who might be there. Later if things pick up sufficiently they'll go on stage, as they were late afternoon when I was there, but the place still couldn't be characterized as particularly lively. Personally, if I went in a place and there was nobody dancing on stage or even approaching me for a lap dance in the back, I wouldn't stick around for even an hour. You might want to try the place after 5PM when more customers show up (working ones with money to spend) and the place is more likely to pick up as a result.

In these tough economic times, you can do much better.

Showed up at 8p, surprised that there is no alcohol here.

Walked in to a $15 cover charge. Expensive! Walked inside, hot blonde on stage, went to sit at the bar. Older blonde lady tries to get me to invite her lap dances ect. I'm not into older women, hope she saved up money from when she was young and beautiful, she's going to need it.

Bartender is cuuuute! Not in the 'lets fuck' kindof way, more in the 'I'm innocent and sweet, and only work here because I have to' sortof way.

Some of the girls here are stuck-up, others will sit and talk with you, but they won't sit in your lap or cuddle with you, so you can tell it's strictly business. Some of the girls go from the back-room to the stage and the straight to the back-room again, not even bothering to offer lap dances. Two of the girls, who ignored guys who tried to talk to them were obviously lesbians, and total bitches.

There is a friction room that is good millage for lap dancing, especially for the two song special, fondling, boobs being rubbed in your face, very nice if that's what you're into, but beware the cameras and microphones everywhere! $45 for two songs, but the songs are artificially short, they have a very skilled dj.

The 'suite' is not not not recommended. While I was there an older gentleman was discretely thrown out for touching a girls pussy and for exposing himself. What the hell is the suite for then? A 'suite' is what you call a hotel/motel room. And the 'suite' is $200 for 15 minutes! Total bull$#it rip off!

There are a few very cute/sweet girls here, but most of them are bitches, and this club is setup to separate you from your money and give you a 'fantasy' in return.

I will not be back.

If the club changes the 'suite' to 30 minutes for $200 and 60 for $300 and takes the fucking cameras out of the rooms, then I'd return. What is this a peep show that I'm paying to star in?
