I went on the Chicago Police Dept site today just to see what areas have been hot with le lately and I found something I still don't believe
The first pic that appeared was a white guy whos arrest location said "160 w ontario" which means he was set up for a sting downtown. And if I am corect he got arrested right outsdie excalibur nightclub or the mother fucking rock and roll mcd's. This is bullshit.
I hit the stroll last Friday late night/ Sat morning - midnight to about 1am.
It was cold out, but saw 2 gals out by 47th and just west of Western. One was short BSW, looked a little rough and the other I think was a taller WSW wearing a brown jacket with the hood on.
I decided to drive a bit further as that was my first pass to see what else was out. Glad I did as a bunch of LE was out that night, even saw a big Chicago's Finest Motor Coach....like they were taking a lagre group for a trip.
I didn't want to go on any free trips so I left.

This is bullshit.[/QUOTE]Not that trying to monger downtown is ever a good idea in my opinion.....its is even more stupid to do it on the weekend in the vicinity of any of the popular nite spots. I have a few family members that are cops and one of them patrols strictly the downtown area, and from what I have been told the cops spend a lot of time doing small stings. They are more so looking for drugs. Their big thing is X and meth, since it is so popular in the clubs.
There used to be a lot of girls working the Rush St area and also the Rock and Roll Mc D's. They would come right up to your car while in the drive through waiting for my Big Mac and ask you for a date with cops right there in the parking lot. Prices quoted were in the escort range of $200-300. Many of them looked like escorts waiting for their next call and trying to make some extra cash. I don't get downtown much anymore but I assume that there are not too many working that area anymore.

There isn't anything there except for an empty lot on the south east corner of Chestnut and State, a restaurant on the north east corner and then a hotel and a condo on the other side of the street. I live in the area and know the coppers are pretty diligent about SW activity. I've been approached by a SW in the hood once and was really kind of shocked when it happened. I laughed it off. Another time I saw some psycho cross dresser lift up his skirt and start beating off in front of a couple of women who were parking their car. I hate to ruin anyone's fun, but thats just not cool.

I know were you can get first hand stories! At about 1 am drive to 107 and s Mich or that general area. Bring a good camera or two, park your car and get out, walk those streets and talk to some of the people out there, Im sure they would be more than willing to help you out!

Remember Im from Milw. so in the event I was stopped by the Cop's I would just play stupid like I was lost and was looking to get back to Wi. and thank God you stopped me because I was getting really nervious because this looks like a bad area. Kinda like Ope Taylor or Steve Erkel would act.

Nothing sticks out there, it's the South Loop, downtown yuppie central . Of course Daley lives in the south loop, around 1500 South, so the cops will always be present.

The CPD website does not only arrest street mongers. They arrest all people who are busted for prostitution including the arrests they they set up in swank condos.
For years and years CPD has been using people apts and condos to set up providers from escort services.
They will pose as the owner of the unit and then call a escort or call girl from the paper or internet. Have her come over and then bust her as she comes through the door. The can net 5-30 girls doing this in one night all they have to do is have their paddywagon downstairs ready and sit back and wait.
They can set up appointments every half hour so the girls don't bump heads.
When one is arrested she goes out the door and they wait for the next one to come in.
Usually they will bust someone for another offense and then make a deal with that person for use or their place. They will say " we won't charge you for whatever offense, if you let us use your apt. condo for our sting."
They even warn the girls not to retaliate or bother anyone at that location again.
Same case scenario they pose as providers at some apt/condo and then make appts and sit back and wait for mongers to come through the door.
They also use peoples vehicles for the same thing. Say they catch someone with a small amount of dope. They can tell him " we won't charge you if you let us use your car for our setup."
Not all the mongers you see are street mongers many are escort /massage mongers.
Happens all the time.

My response was to this "107 to 115 State and S Mich." I thought it was referring to 105 South. State and 107 S. Michigan Ave, which is the approximately The Art institute. I don't think the poster is familiar with the city, or at least downtown Chicago. I know the Art Institute is bad news, very rough. Those art students are monsters. Mr.Tyr unless we are talking about another 107 South Michigan Ave, or another 100 block of S. State St. in Chicago you best comment on those other rough hoods in Schaumburg and Evanston and provide more accurate information. Comical.

He was refering to the 100 streets on the south side. Once you pass rossevelt the streets begin to become numbers. I have heard that those neighborhoods are predominantly black but still wanted to know how the le was around there cause I have never seen it first hand.
But mr. Tyr's report deginetly helped me out. Might have taken it a ltttle to far with the body bag reference, but it did make me get the point.
By the way, I just want to add, that I think this board is taking a turn to negaive town. I mean, where are all the helpful posts. I know the SW scene is slow in chi, esp cuz of weather. Part of me beleives that there are guys out there (like myself) that would hold back posting good info if they were to find a gem.

Are you on crack? So cops making $50-80, 000 a year are going to risk their jobs if something goes wrong by using some guys house or condo? I highly doubt that the city corporation counsel would ever sign off on that one and I can't believe that any cop, boss or not is going to put his ass on the line for that either. I know that they do this in drug cases with informants setting up busts, but for sex?

My bad, write better and we won't have these issues. The sentence was misleading. Write 119th St and State, not "107 to 115 State and S Mich, " which sounds like street numbers. This is misleading. I have been told if I share to provide accurate information. I have not been on the board long, but I try to give helpful tips when I can. And do I think 119th and State is a horrible area? No, I don't. I am bright enough to know what's dangerous and what is not. Check out the Austin neighborhood. That's bad. I live in Garfield Park, pretty fucking rough. If you think 119th and State is scary, don't get off 290 around Central. My guess is that when you see brown people you think bad. That's ok, out nation is built on that kind of rhetoric.
