Okay, as long as everyone else is remeniscing, I can't help but get in the act. I first got sucked into the Zone in the Fall of '91. Being a hick from the sticks of Cow Hampshire, I didn't know anything about it. My roomate and I came down from UNH to see a Grateful Dead show at the Garden, and somehow on the way home got on the Expressway south. In an effort to turn around, we took the first exit, and wound up in Chinatown. As we were getting turned around I saw a blonde in the street by the Med Center dressed rather scantily. I told my buddy that it had to be a hooker and we both stared in amazement. Naturally, I wasn't prepared to do anything about it that night, but I came back down myself not a week later, and I've been hooked ever since. It's actually been years to since I've down the C-town stroll, but it sounds like I'm not missing anything. Ahhhh memories...

If you stopped cruising anytime before 2001 and you came down to CT right now you wouldn't think you are in the same place. 1) no girls 2) a lot of the buildings have changed. Both 1 and 2 are related.

I can't help but remember back in the late 70's when I first started visiting the zone. I remember being on I believe Lagrange St and having SW pulling my pants down while stuck in traffic. That lasted for a while, until the early 80's, when things began to get somewhat back to the original state - but never back to the craziness that marked the early and mid-seventies.

Spotsylvania Suspends Tactic in Sex Stings

Citing public pressure, Spotsylvania County's sheriff said yesterday that he has suspended the practice of allowing detectives to receive sexual services during prostitution investigations, a technique that brought the quiet Virginia exurb attention from across the nation and around the world.

"As Sheriff, I understand the feelings and concerns the citizens of this county have expressed," Sheriff Howard D. Smith said in a statement. "And I empathize with those feelings."

Four days after the county's tactics were reported in The Washington Post, Smith said "the public's expressed response," which he did not characterize, persuaded him to curtail the investigative approach while his staff reviews it and prepares a report with recommendations.

Spotsylvania detectives on assignment to crack down on prostitution in county massage parlors visited Moon Spa three times in January and paid for massages, baths and sexual acts on four occasions, court documents show. On one occasion, they left a $350 tip, records show.

Smith and William F. Neely, the county's top prosecutor, said the sexual acts were necessary because the masseuses had poor English skills and would have been unable to make clearly spoken offers of sex for money. Such offers and evidence that more than touching occurred are needed to make a case under Virginia law, they said. Only unmarried detectives were assigned to the cases, Smith said.

The sheriff's suspension of the practice was applauded by Henry "Hap" Connors Jr., chairman of the county's Board of Supervisors. Connors, who had asked Smith to stop the practice, said he hopes detectives will now employ "more appropriate" means of investigating prostitution.

He lived 4 houses from us when I was a kid. I remember his brother telling me he had been mugged and stabbed but never knew the whole story. I was very young when it happened and am sure his brother didn't get the details you shared. I had totally forgotten about the incident and would never remembered any of it.

One-way side streets are preferable, so that any cars approaching are coming from behind. It's a lot harder to spot bobbing heads when passing a parked car from the rear. Also, if you are in a rough nieghborhood you don't want to be someplace you have to back and fill to exit - you want to be able to fire up and go with no delays.

Went out for the first time in a couple weeks last night for a couple hours (10:30-12:30). Very dead, the only girls I saw were on the cortes-isabella loop everywhere else was a ghost town. Anyway, in Feb I did a cuise of ct, bha, and pa. ct and bha were a bit early I think so there really was nothing at all, not even the norms. I did however notice another camera in ct so heads up guys. There are at least 4 that are in plain view.

Cruised up to chelsea (where I've heard of camera's but never seen any) and actually saw a hottie almost right away. (If you get off of the first exit on Rt one n and stay straight. It was that one way street.) Picked her up, and she jumped right on a bbbj (which i didn't want mind you) so, it was great, she was hot as hell, but I got extremely sick almost that night, for like a week. Last time bb.

The moral of the story ---> THERE IS A HEARTBEAT LEFT IN THIS TOWN

I can just see the SWs lining up to submit their W-9s. I wonder if they will be able to write off their smack as a business expense since most of them have to be loaded in order to do what they do.

The area is slow now so that meens that the pimps are not getting any money in there pocket. The pimps were bad in the early days and very brazen and thought that the streets were owned by them. I remember the PI'S would run around getting money from any girl they wanted when the track was loaded with pussy.

The police acted like they saw nothing. Many of whom got free service when on and off duty told to me by many of the girls. Well thats life in the big city I guess.
