If you do a search on www.cleveland19.com for the word 'sting', you'll see the full story. I won't post the full story link here, because the story lists names of people arrested, and is therefore against the rules. But, apparently, Mahoning County is posting ads to entrap mongers. Be advised.

WARREN, Ohio -- An Akron man was arrested along with nine others in an undercover prostitution sting in Warren.
Cxxx Nxxxxx, 38, of Akron was charged with solicitation Wednesday when he and several other men responded to online sex advertisements, according to a statement from the Ohio Attorney General's office.
The men communicated with undercover authorities posing as a woman and arranged to have sex in Warren, officials said.
Officials did not say where the men arranged to meet the woman.
The nine other men charged are:
I am not re-posting the names because it would only serve to shame them for a rather low level crime, which is not a crime in many other jurisdictions. I do have a few questions.
1) Why aren't shoplifters photos ever printed so that shop owners can look out for them?
2) Why do we publicly shame these persons that were arrested for responding to an ad presumably placed by "law enforcement" before having their day in court. In other words, would it not be more appropriate to post these pictures after a conviction.
3) Why is law enforcement spending their time and energy on arresting alleged "Johns" rather than burglars, thieves, rapists, and domestic violence perps?
4) Would legalizing prostitution not result in less disease, less crime, and more money to eliminate human trafficking which I think we can all agree is bad?
5) Why is sex for free legal, but sex for money is not? How many other crimes have that component?
I hope I have not bored you to death. In the Western hemisphere prostitution is illegal in Cuba and The United States. Think about that.
Note: Johns can now be arrested in Canada but providers can not be arrested. This has been the law for about two years. I am not seeing "John" stings in Canada.
Prostitution is illegal iin the United States for many reasons. I believe some of these reasons are:
1. Religion. Religion plays a very strong role in the USA, primarily due to politicians wearing it on their sleeves to gain votes. The church, though, must do its best to stop prostitution because the church tries to control and keep its members through control of sex, I. E. , sex is a sin outside marriage, and you must be a member of the church to get married in one, (since they view a civil marriage as illegitimate). Therefore you must be a member of the church to have sex. Otherwise its a sin.
2. Women. Women as well as the church want to keep prostitution illegal because they want to use the availability of sex to control men. You know, buy me a mink and I'll let you have a little greek. They want to be able to let themselves go, get fat as pigs and still control their men.
3. Government. The government wants to keep prostitution illegal for the same reasons as churches and women, plus they don't like the unreported income going untaxed. The government, which is the biggest mafia the world has ever seen, wants a cut of every dollar that moves.
4. I'm sure there are other published reasons, but most of them are bullshit. 1, 2, and 3 above are the real reasons. At least in my opinion.
Public shaming is an understatement. The lives of these men are destroyed by pigs. Pigs send out weekly police reports, typically by email, to the local newspapers with mugshots. They need to keep their departments / salaries relevant and budgeted after all. Further it adds to the fear psychosis. In reality, crime has been decreasing in our country but they want you to think that the country is being run over crime.
There are several countries where cops will cover the faces of those who are accused of minor crime (by covering their faces with a cloth, bag.) in front of the press so that the rest of their lives are not destroyed. Example: In France, doing this kind of shit is illegal.
Releasing mugshots to the press does not routinely happen in most countries. It happens every week, in police blotter emails that go out to the local newspapers, in the home of the brave and the land of the free. Think about that.
Here's my question and I know I am digressing: why aren't people allowed to see coffins / photos of our soldiers who die in unnecessary wars? Why are records of people who are killed / assaulted by pigs not kept? Answer: The power like to keep its dirty work hidden.

Cheech
Sex with children should always be a crime.
If you want to tax earnings from prostitution then legalize it.
