Thanks for the information. The scene in Elkhart right now is scary. I drove thru on Thursday and it was heavy w/le and I got out of dodge. Plus, I've been out of the loop on the scene and the names of these new girls don't ring a bell too me. The only one I can recall is cathy and i understand she moved after having her baby.

Kitty Kat lounge set for demolition
Sites on South Michigan Street to be cleared for development.

SOUTH BEND — Demolition of the former Kitty Kat Lounge Adult Club and the former Great Lakes Windows buildings on the 1300 block of South Michigan Street is scheduled to begin Wednesday.

The city intends to turn the lots into sites for new development. Sharon Kendall, executive director of community and economic development, said the demolition will allow more opportunities for commercial growth.

“We look forward to new investment that will complement the new commercial growth on the south side and help to enhance the quality of life for our residents,” Kendall said.


This is part of phase one of planned economic development along the city’s South Gateway commercial corridor. The four sites could become retail, office or institutional sites, officials said.

The second phase includes demolishing the former Glo Worm and Quarterback Lounge in the 700 block of South Michigan Street. Demolition of those buildings is expected to be later this month. The city bought Glo Worm, Quarterback Lounge and Teasers strip bar for $241,250 in late 2005.

The redevelopment commission bought the Kitty Kat Lounge and Great Lakes Windows properties in May 2005 for $175,000 from Arthur T. Ford. Ford is serving a four-year federal prison term for convictions of promoting prostitution tied to the former strip club, which closed in 2004.

Goshen is a dead town. The only rumor I ever heard stemmed from the ever-growing illegal alien population in Goshen (following the factory jobs) and that some latin girls will work but ONLY for latin guys. Since I'm not in any way involved in that culture it remains only a rumor that I cannot confirm.
