There have been several newer members who have asked about accessing court information on Memphis and Shelby County offenders, so I thought it would be a good time to provide these links. Most of the Senior and active regular members already know how to get to this stuff, so this is intended for those who do not know how, but would like to know.
This is all publicly accessible information, so I am [i]not giving away any one’s secrets here, and don’t need any flames thrown this way.[/i]
1. [b][u]Sheriff’s Jail Visitation and Bond Information Kiosk[/u][/b]

At this site, you can track down an offender either by name or by a certain day’s activity. Enter either first and/or last name, and it will call up all offender’s with those attributes. You can also look at all the arrests for a given day by entering that specific date. You can click on the offender’s name to get their mug shot and some info on the charges (please note the booking number listed above the pic as it will be helpful for #2 and #3 below). You can further click on their mug to get both the frontal and profile shot.
NOTE: Sometimes it takes the county several hours to attach the mug shot to the name. If they have not already done it, you will get a “No Image Available” message where the pic should be. Normally, all pics are updated by the next day. Also, when an offender makes bail, they generally remove the arrest record. So you may see an offender listed one day and then the next day they are gone.
2. [b][u]General Sessions and Criminal Court Case Information[/u][/b]

Once you know the offender’s name and the Booking number, you can check on the case at this site. By clicking on General Sessions, then Name Search, you can enter the offender’s name and their court history will come up. If you have the latest Booking number, you can see the status of the pending case.

This site will give you information on the status of the offender. By clicking on the state of Tennessee, then Shelby county, then entering the first and last name of the offender, it will tell whether the offender is still in custody and where, and/or if they have bonded out or not.

You can do a search by the offender’s first and last name and, if they have a warrant active, it will bring up their information. In many cases, the mug shot will be posted there.

There seemed to be a lot of action out this week in the National / Jackson / Summer / Nutbush areas.
Marla, Wendy, Cindy, Mary, Shannon, Destinae, just to name a few of the regulars who have been out this week.
There were a couple that surprised me though. I was shocked to see the brunette Deena out-n-about; she's not a regular SW, but at least she's clean now (meaning she's no longer into the hardcore drugs apparently).
