RE: Never Tried Streetwalker
These are my opinions, others may have different views. First, you stand the most amount of exposure by cruising for SWs. You're out in public, lots of cameras and looky-loos abound. This includes the chance of being stopped or stung by police, more so than any other route of the hobby. If you don't want that risk, don't go this route. Getting robbed is a risk no matter which route you choose. You can do the same things everyone else does and still have a bad experience. I've had incidents happen even when I've not done anything any differently than my previous dates. Regarding busts, SPD conducts stings along Aurora Ave about once a month or so (not an exact science, but that's been their usual cadence). Those stings are almost always in the large parking lot of Lowe's hardware store between 125th and 127th and usually on weeknights between 5 pm and 9 pm. According to arrest data, other busts in the past have also been in other large parking lots along Aurora, as a general rule I just avoid large lots. I probably miss some good dates as a result but I'm sticking to what previous intel tells me. If there are a lot of SWs out on Aurora but only one in the Lowe's lot, I'd avoid her. SPD tells other SWs to clear the area when they are doing stings. Again that's not a guarantee but a good rule of thumb. In regard to the camera and corresponding blog, my understanding is that this is a collection of residents along 107th Ave who are doing this, so I'd avoid that street at all costs if that's a concern for you. Maybe also 108th. Someone else may be able to clarify that or have better information.
Another thing to be aware of is that the city of Seattle has reinstated the prostitution loitering laws along Aurora Ave. If you're seen circling blocks or cruising the area then SPD can stop you for suspicion of loitering for hookers. Also, if you stop and talk with a known or alleged SW on a street corner, police can stop you under these new laws. Same if you're seen with one in your car. So be aware of that. I still see men stopping right on Aurora to talk to a hooker, that's probably not the best idea. It's best to go around to the nearest side street and pull over, if she means business she'll come to you. I also don't love talking to SWs right at the corner while at the stop sign so I try to hang back a bit if I'm interested in her. That may or may not work, however, because lately they haven't been interested in moving too much. That's me, though, you'll have to assess your level of tolerance. Again, I probably miss some opportunities, but this is my level of tolerance. I prefer to be as discreet as possible but again when I'm out in public that's hard to do.
That's all I can think of for now, others might have additional or better information.
How is it you go about doing it without worrying about getting robbed, discovering it is a bust, or getting outed? There are tons of people visiting that blog and posting the names of people's licenses they recognize, and AI will eventually be scrapping these things and saving them forever.
Someone spent 500-1000 hours and $50 k-100 k creating that website
It's called IsJonAJohn.com and it has pictures of like 6000 unique license plates of people who stop along Aurora in suspicious places.
And same someone continues spending at least 100 hours / month and $20 k-50 k / month keeping it running and updated. All so busybodies can invade people's privacy via license plate cataloging to grow their ever-growing paranoid database. Just imagine if these individuals spent all their time and resources on pushing to legalize sex work, thereby ending the pimp exploitation / violence. It would be great if the owner of that website was faced wrongful defamation lawsuits.
