No question that Oaktree is seedy for sure. I haven't been there a long time, plus I do recall that in the past couple of years that the night manager (perhaps he's the owner?) would chase anyone out who wasn't a paying guest, had to sneak in there. 10 years ago I used to visit more often, I'd park a half a block away and walk in, I don't love parking right in the motel parking lots but that's me. With a lot of the hotter SWs working near Oaktree motel these days I do wonder if many of them have rooms there, if so then it's only a matter of time before SPD starts eyeing the place. I talked to no less then 10 girls last night who all had rooms at Oak Tree Motel. It's renting to any girl who wants a room. This was in the early evening. I suspect it's because of the very cold weather past couple of weeks. Still. I am shocked at how many girls have rooms there now. This includes the chance of being stopped or stung by police, more so than any other route of the hobby. If you don't want that risk, don't go this route. Getting robbed is a risk no matter which route you choose. You can do the same things everyone else does and still have a bad experience. I've had incidents happen even when I've not done anything any differently than my previous dates. Regarding busts, SPD conducts stings along Aurora Ave about once a month or so (not an exact science, but that's been their usual cadence). Those stings are almost always in the large parking lot of Lowe's hardware store between 125th and 127th and usually on weeknights between 5 pm and 9 pm. According to arrest data, other busts in the past have also been in other large parking lots along Aurora, as a general rule I just avoid large lots. I probably miss some good dates as a result but I'm sticking to what previous intel tells me. If there are a lot of SWs out on Aurora but only one in the Lowe's lot, I'd avoid her. SPD tells other SWs to clear the area when they are doing stings. Again that's not a guarantee but a good rule of thumb. In regard to the camera and corresponding blog, my understanding is that this is a collection of residents along 107th Ave who are doing this, so I'd avoid that street at all costs if that's a concern for you. Maybe also 108th. Someone else may be able to clarify that or have better information.
